My friend Julia told me that she needs a baby card for a coworker who has just had a boy. Of course, I don’t have any in my stash – this surprised me, I have so many cards in various boxes that I’d have thought I could cover any situation! But no. So here’s one of a few that I made, hopefully one of them will fit the bill.
I stamped the elephant from the Stampin’ Up! Zoo Babies set in marina mist on whisper white card stock and added the sentiment underneath. It’s from the same stamp set in case you were wondering. I then cut out my stamped images with one of the circles collection framelits. I stamped another elephant on whisper white and snipped around his ear and then popped this up on a little piece of stampin’ dimensionals (a good time to use a piece from the edge of the dimensionals) for some added interest.
I ran a piece of marina mist through the texture boutique in the Alphabet Press embossing folder – so far, I only seem to use this folder for baby cards, I’ll have to issue myself a challenge to use it for something else! I originally intended to mat the embossed card with something else, possibly white, but it drew attention away from the elephant. So I just mounted it on the marina mist card base.
I lined the envelope flap with the Backgrounds DSP in marina mist – I cut a 6″ by 2.25″ piece and trimmed it with my paper snips after I glued it on.
See you tomorrow,
Liz
Cute card. I love how you did the elephant ear.
