Twinkle Trees Christmas Card

Happy Friday! The star of the show today is definitely the new Glitter Stampin’ Emboss Powder which has taken over the card and made the fun Twinkle Trees set fade into the background!

What do you think? Isn’t the glitter stampin’ emboss powder amazing? It’s really hard to photograph and it looks masses better in person. I was a bit curious as to how it would work on this, my first project using it. When you stamp in versamark and then sprinkle on the glitter emboss powder the powder looks a little bit dull. Not as dull as ordinary emboss powder, but somewhat dull. Definitely dull in comparison with what happens when you heat it and it gets really shiny and glossy! So no worries about how you know it’s “done”. And even better, the glitter stays on the card.

I’ve got a little ahead of myself! I started the card by stamping on a piece of whisper white scrap in emerald envy using the Twinkle Trees stamp set. I love the emerald envy, it’s such a Christmassy colour. I’ve finally decided which of last year’s retired in colours that I like the best, it’s mossy meadow because I miss it the  most but emerald envy is helping with that gap! After stamping, I added the glitter stampin’ emboss powder and I love what it’s done to the card. So much so, that I decided to keep the rest of the card extra simple so as not to detract from it – although I think it would be hard to detract from this sparkle. I trimmed the scrap and made an emerald envy mat. The sentiment is from Star of Light also in emerald envy which I stamped before adhering the christmas tree panel, just in case. And there you go – clean and simple and very glittery!

Here’s another attempt at a photo to show the glittery-ness
