Rooted in Nature again

I decided to use a different incolor for the next Rooted in Nature card. Here I show you Misty Moonlight. I can’t decide if this is my favourite new color or the Just Jade that I showed on Wednesday.

I don’t have the new inks yet but luckily April’s paper pumpkin contained a little Misty Moonlight stampin’ spot. So I was able to stamp both the tree and the sentiment. The background is the new 2020-2022 incolor DSP and I layered that onto a whisper white layer before adding it to the misty moonlight card base.

I used the Stitched so Sweetly die set to create the layer for my die cut tree and the Stitched Nested Labels for the sentiment. The final touch was an overhand knot in the new Misty Moonlight 1/4 inch ribbon attached with a glue dot.

More Beautiful Friendship

I’ve been playing with Beautiful Friendship this week and although I was intimidated to start with (hence it took a long time before I inked this set up) it’s really fun to use and very versatile. I love Stampin’ Up!’s distinktive stamp sets that provide such detail and all we have to do is add ink.

So here I inked up in lovely lipstick and added some pear pizzazz leaves. The sentiment is from the same set and I cut it out using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. See? I can actually use something other than the Stitched Shapes dies! I add a pear pizzazz mat and mounted on a lovely lipstick card base.

Don’t forget that lovely lipstick is retiring very soon. Also if you want to see how to make this card as well as Wednesday’s and a third one, join me on Facebook at 11am tomorrow. I’ll also upload it to YouTube too. Anyone sharing my FB live gets put into a raffle for a prize. See you there?

Flowering Foils Specialty DSP

This beautiful metallic  Flowering Foils Specialty DSP is available for FREE until next Tuesday. If you place a $50 product order you can select it. And it’s gorgeous.

This time I used sponge daubers to colour in the flower and make it the focal point of the card. I used some rococo rose, pear pizzazz and rich razzleberry. So there’s a rococo rose mat and I used the same colour for the sentiment – from Peaceful Moments – which I cut out using the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

It’s for my best friend whose birthday is on Friday. I think I’ll venture out an drop it on her porch. She’s crazy busy at the moment so I’m sure she won’t see this and spoil the surprise.

Flowering Foils Specialty DSP

Yesterday the second release of Sale-a-bration products was made available.  As a demo, I had the opportunity to order early and so can show you the gorgeous Flowering Foils Specialty DSP. It’s rose gold and silver metallic and easily changed up by coloring the white background too. For this first share, I stayed with the paper as it comes but you can bet that I’ll be adding colour soon.

I based the card on petal pink mostly because I had metallic edged petal pink ribbon. The sentiment is from the Timeless Tropical stamp set cut out with the Stitched so Sweetly dies. The photo doesn’t really do this paper justice, so you’ll have to order for yourself and get this for free with a product order of at least $50.

Lovely Lily Pad and Lily Pad Dies

Here’s my second card this week using the Lovely Lily pad and Lily Pad dies which you can get for free during Sale-a-bration as supplies last. Between them they need an order of $150.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Lovely Lily Pad - Lily Pad Dies - Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder - So Sentimental - Stitched so sweetly dies

I’m really enjoying the challenge that I’ve set myself to use the same product all week and to use different parts of it. The Lovely Lily Pad stamps are reversible and I stamped the one side in blushing bride and then the other in rich razzleberry after which I cut them out with the dies.

I had a piece of silver foil embossed with the Hammered Metal embossing folder and I decided to use copper foil to add bling to the side of the card. Then I used copper embossing powder for the sentiment which comes from the So Sentimental stamp set and was then cut out with the matching Stitched so Sweetly Dies. Both the background for the sentiment and the card base are rich razzleberry.
