Queen Anne’s Lace

This week I’m showing you cards using the Queen Anne’s Lace stamp set. My apologies for being a day late, but the storms caused me to be without power or even cell phone coverage for 32 hours. Not a problem apart from my blog since I’d had to hurriedly change this week’s set since my originally planned choice is on backorder.

I stamped the stems in pear pizzazz and then heat embossed the flowers in white. It’s fairly subtle but I really like how it came out. I matted with pear pizzazz and used the same colour for the sentiment which also comes from the Queen Anne’s Lace stamp set. I then layered that onto a thick whisper white card base. As I often do, I die cut the sentiment using the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies and popped it up with dimensionals.

The Right Triangle bundle

The product that I’m showing this week is the Right Triangle bundle which is pretty much as you’d expect. There are different sizes of right angled triangles with various patterns.

Using a fun collection of colors, namely bermuda bay, just jade and gorgeous grape I stamped all of the patterns. Don’t you think that these bright colors look wonderful together? The dies are stitched which matches the stitched shapes framelits die that I used to cut out the sentiment. The sentiment comes from Peaceful Moments which I seem to be using a lot as my default set for sentiments.

You could also use The Right Triangle bundle to cut out triangles from DSP – I’ll have a go at that this week too.

I’m a member of the Talented Tutorial Team and each month the 15 of us create a bundle of 15 tutorials. If you spend $35 with me on product, I’ll send you all 15. If you’re interested in these tutorials, grab them quickly since this is the last month I’m offering them.

Summer Days

Here’s my second card this week showcasing the host set, Summer Days. It was very relaxing coloring the images in this set.

First, I stamped the image in Sahara sand and then colored it. I used dark granny apple green on all of the stamped image lines (apart from the trunk and girl of course) and then used the light one to blend it and fill in the rest of the image. Then I did the same on the wood using dark and light soft suede. The little girl was colored using light mango melody, light night of navy, ivory and light melon mambo.

The sentiment is the same as Wednesday’s from the Forever Fern set since there aren’t any sentiments in the Summer Days set. This time I die cut it using the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies after stamping in melon mambo. I mounted the main image on a soft suede mat and then adhered to a whisper white card base, popping up the sentiment with dimensionals.

If you’d like to see me making this, I do a Facebook Live on Sundays at 11am EST on @MyElegantCards. I make all three cards that I blog during the week.

In Good Taste DSP

Here’s my – maybe – final card using the In Good Taste DSP. There are so many great patterns that I’ve barely scratched the surface!

This is a piece of In Good Taste DSP that features night of navy and whisper white. I think it looks slightly spanish or portuguese and I love it. I added a tiny mat in night of navy and then added it to a thick whisper white card base.

The greeting is from the Forever Fear stamp set and it’s been cut out with the stitched shapes framelits dies and popped up. I added a few clear rhinestones as well.

I’ll be demonstrating all 3 of these cards on my Facebook Live at 11am EST today. Come and join me and put in an order for $20 of product using the host code on the right and I’ll send you the things you need to make these card (apart from stamping since that’s against compliance.

Timeless Tulips

Here’s my second card this week using Timeless Tulips. This time I pulled in a new embossing folder – Ornate Floral 3D.

I embossed a piece of garden green for a layer using the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder for an interesting background. The tulip is stamped in real red and garden green. The hello also comes from the Timeless Tulips set which I cut out using the Stitched Shapes framelits dies.

I’ll be making this card on my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am along with Wednesday’s card and one other. Join me!
