Feels Like Frost

Here’s another two cards using the Feels Like Frost DSP and neither of them are for Christmas.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Feels Like Frost DSP - Peaceful Moments - Blossoms in Bloom - Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies

This is a very unusual card for me since I really don’t like grey, but here I have to admit that it works really well. I’ll tell myself that the card base is silver rather than Smoky Slate and we’ll be okay. Right? I matted the DSP with whisper white and added that to the silver coloured card base leaving a wide border of the card base showing. I like the balance. The sentiment comes from Peaceful Moments which was cut out with the Stitched Shapes framelits dies and then popped up with dimensionals.

This is the same layout as above but it has a different feel due to the colors. The previous card felt warm, this one is a bit cool. I layered the piece of DSP onto a Night of Navy mat and then onto a thick whisper white card base. Next I stamped the sentiment from Blossoms in Bloom in Night of Navy, cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies and popped it up with dimensionals.

I’ll be doing my usual Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am EST and will demonstrate a number of cards using the Feels Like Frost DSP. I’m hoping to show you that it’s not just for Winter and Christmas.

Feels Like Frost

I’m continuing with Christmas cards because I accidentally made another one. The Feels Like Frost DSP is so beautiful, it almost make Christmas cards for you!

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Feels Like Frost DSP - Stitched so Sweetly dies - Joyful Holly

I matted the DSP with night of navy and then mounted it on a thick whisper white card base. The sentiment comes from Joyful Holly and is stamped in night of navy. Finally it was cut out with the Stitched so Sweetly dies and popped up with dimensionals.

Next I decided to show that the Feels Like Frost DSP can also make non-Christmas cards.

I layered the piece of DSP onto a Highland Heather card base. Next I stamped the sentiment from Peaceful Moments in Gorgeous Grape and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies.

I did think about adding embellishments but I don’t think this paper needs it.

I’ll be doing my usual Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am EST and will demonstrate a number of cards using this DSP.

Forever Fern Bundle

This week I’m showcasing the Forever Fern bundle and here I’m using both the stamp set and the dies.

I stamped a selection of the stamps still using just Pretty Peacock and Gorgeous Grape and then die cut them using the Forever Flourishing dies which is part of the Forever Fern bundle.

I arranged them so that their stalks would be hidden by the sentiment and then glued them down with the multipurpose liquid glue. Using the Peaceful Moments stamp set, I stamped the sentiment in gorgeous grape and cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies.

I’ll be demonstrating this card plus two others later today at 11am EST on Facebook. Come and join me! Place a $25 order and I’ll send you the card kit to make these.

Forever Fern

This week I’m showcasing the Forever Fern bundle although I only used the stamps today. I decided to use the same colours for all of this week’s cards in case you don’t have the full set and you want to replicate them exactly.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Forever Fern

Using Pretty Peacock and Gorgeous Grape I stamped my two main images and then filled in with the speckles. I glued this to a Gorgeous Grape card base. The sentiment also comes from Forever Fern and is stamped in Gorgeous Grape and cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies and popped up with dimensional.

It’s a very simple card, quick to reproduce and, I think, quite elegant. Let me know what you think.

Queen Anne’s Lace

This week I’m showing you cards using the Queen Anne’s Lace stamp set and this one uses one of the stamps in an unexpected way.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Queen Anne's Lace - Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies

I used the stamp that is intended for adding the blossoms to the Queen Anne’s Lace and made a background using just jade, shaded spruce and pretty peacock. I wrapped a piece of the just jade in-color ribbon around the whisper white layer before adhering it to a just jade card base. Then I added a bow and attached it with a glue dot. What stamps have you used in an unexpected way?
