More Beautiful Moments

I decided to use blends for my third card showcasing the Beautiful Moments set.

I used a regular piece of whisper white and stamped the image in sahara sand and added a couple of seagulls. Then I started colouring – I used both the dark and light blends of highland heather, rococo rose and daffodil delight and then used the ivory for the skin. I forgot that I’d used highland heather and used the gorgeous grape for the sentiment and the card base. Looks fine.

If you want to watch me making this in person – and the other two with this set – check out My Elegant Cards facebook page or my YouTube channel, My Elegant Cards with Liz Bailey.

Beautiful Moments again

I’ve started doing Facebook Lives (Sundays at 11am EST on my My Elegant Cards page) and showcasing 3 cards from the Product of the week so I decided it would be good to show you all three as well.

I stamped the images in sahara sand and then used pacific point, daffodil delight and real red watercolor pencils. A blender pen pushed the color around a bit and smoothed out the pencil lines. I added a slim mat in pacific point and left a wide frame of the whisper white. All that remained was to add one of the sentiments from Beautiful Moments in more pacific point and cut it out with the Stitched Shapes dies.

Beautiful Friendship Extra

I was having so much fun with the Beautiful Friendship set that I didn’t stop and made a third one which I’d like to share with you.

beautiful friendship

This is all petal pink and white using the hydrangea stamp to create a fun background. I found this beautiful ribbon and wrapped it around the layer before adhering it to the petal pink layer. This was then mounted on a thick whisper white card base.

The sentiment is from the same set and I cut it out using the Stitched Shapes framelits dies and popped it up with dimensionals. A few champagne rhinestones and the card was complete.

Beautiful Friendship

I’ve had this Beautiful Friendship set for ages and was rather intimidated by the large flowers. They are beautiful but I wasn’t sure how I was going to design with them. Let me know what you think.

It’s actually really fun to make bouquets of flowers. Here I used lovely lipstick and highland heather. The leaves are soft sea foam but I matted on pear pizzazz. I didn’t mean to but I’d started using pear pizzazz for the leaves and then forgot I’d changed! I think it works though.

I used one of the sentiments from the stamp set and die cut it with the Stitched Shapes dies.

Garden Goodness

Here’s another great set which is on the retiring list and is only guaranteed to be available until May 22, so don’t delay. It’s one of Stampin’ Up!’s distinktive sets which means that there’s amazing detail.

Isn’t the detail amazing? I used garden green (had to really, didn’t I?!) and real red for the tomatoes. I found it was easier to stamp the tomatoes first and then add the stems. I love tomatoes that are still attached, the smell reminds me of my father’s greenhouse each summer – such a wonderful scent.

I added a real red mat and placed it on the garden green card base. The sentiment is from Garden Goodness too and cut out using my beloved Stitched Shapes framelits dies and popped up with dimensionals.

I’ll be demonstrating this, along with 2 others, on Sunday at 11am on my Facebook Live if you’re interested. If you’d like a card kit to create the 3 cards, just place an order with me for $25 and I’ll send it to you.
