Tidings of Christmas

This week I’m focusing on the 6 by 6 inch DSP, Tidings of Christmas. It was hard to pick just three to use.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Tidings of Christmas - Stars are Shining

This is a very simple card which is easily reproducible in quantity.

First I cut a 2 by 5 1/2 inch strip of the DSP which means you can get 3 cards out of one piece of DSP. On top of that, there are another 7 sheets of the same design which means a lot of cards. Just make sure you have enough cardstock to make the bases.

The DSP was matted in Cherry Cobbler and then added to a Whisper White card base. The sentiment, from Stars are Shining, was still out on my desk and was stamped in Cherry Cobbler. After die cutting using the Stitched Rectangle dies, it was carefully popped up with dimensions. I say carefully because you don’t want any dimensionals on top of the decorative strip or your label will be wonky.  Finally I added a few champagne basic rhinestones.

I’ll demonstrate this card along with 2 others at my Facebook Live later on today at 11am EDT.

Stars are Shining

Today I’m pairing the Stars are Shining bundle with the Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Stars are Shining - Starlit Punch - Stitched Rectangle Dies - Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder

First I dry embossed a piece of Evening Evergreen using the Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder. This was matted with silver foil and added to a Evening Evergreen card base. Next I heat embossed in silver the sentiment from the Stars are Shining stamp set. After die cutting it using the Stitched Rectangle dies I popped this up with dimensionals.

Finally I cut out silver foil stars using the Starlit punch and added them to the card using a little liquid glue. The Take Your Pick tool is incredibly useful here.

I will demonstrate this card plus 2 others using this bundle on my regular Facebook live later on today at 11am EDT. You can find my live on Facebook or on YouTube using the links below.

See you on Friday,

Artistically Inked

I’ve still had no luck finding the dies, so when I find them, I’ll do another week using the bundle! Not that that would be a hardship. I really love this suite.  Update: I just found them on Sunday afternoon! I must’ve taken them to my couch to think about designs and forgotten to put them back and they got buried by a cushion! But my craft room is a lot tidier now. 🙂

This is another clean and simple card. I stamped the long stamp twice in  Polished Pink down the side of the Whisper White layer. Next this was added to a Polished Pink card base. The sentiment from the Artistically Inked stamp set was stamped in the same color and cut out with the Stitched Rectangle dies. After adding the sentiment using dimensionals, a few of the beautiful Opal Rounds were added. I like to use the Take Your Pick tool for adding embellishments because it makes it easy. Simply push the embellishment with the tacky end and it will release from the plastic and attach to the tool.

I showed this card plus 2 others at my Facebook live this morning at 11am EDT. I then copied it to my YouTube channel.

I started by stamping the large flower in Polished Pink a few times up the  whisper white card base. Next I added some of the double leaves in Evening Evergreen and then the 3 flowers in Pacific Point. The single leaves were stamped in Evening Evergreen, stamped off once. Then I filled in a few gaps with the dots stamped in Polished Pink. The sentiment is stamped in Pacific Point and die cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies and popped up with dimensionals.

I’ll be showing this card plus 2 others at my Facebook live on Sunday at 11am EDT.

Stars are Shining

This week’s product is the Stars are Shining bundle; here I’m using both parts of the bundle.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Stars are Shining - Starlit Punch

First I created a background using versamark and the stamp with all the stars. Then I punched out the big star in gold foil and glued it to a Poppy Parade layer. This was then matted in more gold foil and adhered to the card base. One tip – don’t worry about creating the entire background since the gold foil layer will cover the middle of the card.

Next the sentiment was stamped in versamark and then gold embossed. After cutting it out with the Stitched Rectangle Dies it was popped up with dimensionals.

I demonstrated this card plus 2 others using this bundle on my regular Facebook live on Sunday at 11am EDT. You can find my live on Facebook or on YouTube using the links below.
