Rain or Shine Specialty DSP

This week I’m using the lovely Rain or Shine Specialty DSP. The specialty part is due to a glossy coating on some of the sheets – not this pattern though.

The Rain or Shine Specialty DSP was cut to 4 by 5 1/4 inches and added to an Old Olive card base. The sentiment is from the Splendid Thoughts stamp set and stamped in Old Olive. It was then cut out using the Stitched Rectangle dies and added to the card with dimensionals.

To finish off the card, I used the Dark Old Olive blends to color a few basic rhinestones and added them.

I will be making this card, along with 2 others using this DSP at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am eastern. When you place a $25 order with me, I’ll send you the cut cardstock for free. Also if you share my live, I’ll put you in the raffle for a free embellishment plus a card.

Splendid Day

I was going to use the Splendid Day suite for my Mail & Make this month but fortunately I noticed before publishing that it was no longer available seeing as it was in the July-Dec mini catalog. So in case you still have this suite hanging around or you bought it in the Last Chance sale, this week I’m showing a few cards using it.

I used one of the stamps from Splendid Thoughts with Soft Sea Foam to create a background. This was added to a Soft Sea Foam card base. The focal point was stamped in Fresh Freesia and cut out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies and added to the card.

The sentiment, from Splendid Thoughts, was stamped in Fresh Freesia. After die cutting using the Stitched Rectangle dies it was added to the card with dimensionals. Finally some gold Festive Pearls were added to the sentiment label.

I will be making this card, along with 2 others using this set at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am eastern. When you place a $25 order with me, I’ll send you the cut cardstock for free. Also if you share my live, I’ll put you in the raffle for a free embellishment plus a card.

The Splendid Day Specialty DSP was cut to 3 3/4 by 5 inches ensuring that a ladybird was included. This was matted with white card an 1/8 inch larger and added to a Soft Sea Foam card base. The sentiment, from Splendid Thoughts, was stamped in Fresh Freesia. After die cutting using the Stitched Rectangle dies it was added to the card with dimensionals.

I cut out another ladybird and added it on top of the one already there. This meant that antennae and legs could be cut off since they were already on the card. Finally I added some Pastel Pearls.

I will be making this card, along with 2 others using this set at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am eastern. When you place a $25 order with me, I’ll send you the cut cardstock for free. Also if you share my live, I’ll put you in the raffle for a free embellishment plus a card.

The white card is cut to 4 1/4 by 3 7/8 inches with the Splendid Day Specialty DSP cut at 4 inches wide. This gives a small border to the white card when it’s added to a white card base. A few of the Splendid Stems dies were cut out in Soft Sea Form and Evening Evergreen as well as a planter from the Splendid Day Specialty DSP. The sentiment, from Splendid Thoughts was stamped in Evening Evergreen onto the planter and, with the die cuts, added to the card.

To finish off the card some silver Festive Pearls were added.

I will be making this card, along with 2 others using this set at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am eastern. When you place a $25 order with me, I’ll send you the cut cardstock for free. Also if you share my live, I’ll put you in the raffle for a free embellishment plus a card.

The DSP was cut to 3 by 5 1/2 inches and added to a piece of Bermuda Bay 3 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches. It was then added to a white card base – the easiest way is to use a stamparatus. The sentiment is from the Splendid Thoughts set, stamped in Bermuda Bay and then cut out using the Stitched Rectangle dies. This was added directly to the card.

To finish off the card, some embellishments from the Glossy Dots Assortment were added.

I made this card, along with 2 others using this set today on my Facebook Live at 11am eastern. Your can see the replay or see it on YouTube.  When you place a $25 order with me, I’ll send you the cut cardstock for free. Also if you share my live, I’ll put you in the raffle for a free embellishment plus a card.
