In Good Taste DSP

I was trying to increase my birthday card stash – do you need to aswell? The In Good Taste DSP should really help me to make some masculine cards and since I work in IT where most people are male, that’s important! This is a double stack of DSP – 24 sheets of double sided papers, 2 each of 12 designs (152494, $21) so you can make a lot!

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - In Good Taste Designer Series Paper - Stitched so Sweetly Dies

The sheet of In Good Taste DSP was cut to 3 3/4 by 5 inches and matted onto a piece of Basic Black an 1/8 inch larger. Before adding this to the Night of Navy card base, a piece of knotted Black Glittered Organdy ribbon was wrapped around the layer.

Finally the sentiment from Peaceful Moments was stamped onto a piece of Nicght of Navy. This was actually heat embossed in black, but it would appear that my black embossing powder is old and it didn’t turn glossy. I’ll add another pot to my next order. The sentiment was die cut using the Stitched so Sweetly dies and added to the card using dimensionals

I’ll be making this card on my Live on Sunday at 11am EST along with a couple more also using the In Good Taste DSP.

In Good Taste DSP

Here’s my – maybe – final card using the In Good Taste DSP. There are so many great patterns that I’ve barely scratched the surface!

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - In Good Taste DSP - Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies - Forever Fern

This is a piece of In Good Taste DSP that features night of navy and whisper white. I think it looks slightly spanish or portuguese and I love it. I added a tiny mat in night of navy and then added it to a thick whisper white card base.

The greeting is from the Forever Fear stamp set and it’s been cut out with the stitched shapes framelits dies and popped up. I added a few clear rhinestones as well.

I’ll be demonstrating all 3 of these cards on my Facebook Live at 11am EST today. Come and join me and put in an order for $20 of product using the host code on the right and I’ll send you the things you need to make these card (apart from stamping since that’s against compliance.

I’m a member of the Talented Tutorial Team and each month the 15 of us create a bundle of 15 tutorials. If you spend $35 with me on product, I’ll send you all 15.

See you on Wednesday,

In Good Taste DSP

This week I’m focusing on one of the new designer series papers in the new annual catalog, In Good Taste DSP and this is the second card that I’ve shared using it. It’s such a great photograph that it really feels as if the texture is real and on the paper!

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - In Good Taste DSP - Peaceful Moments - Stitched so sweetly dies

This card has a smaller border than Wednesday’s – I like to change them around and see what difference it makes – compare this one with Wednesday and let me know which border you like best.

I used early espresso for the skinny mat and put it on a rococo rose card base. The sentiment again comes from Peaceful Moments (I think you’re going to see a lot of this stamp set in the coming year!) and it’s stamped in early espresso. I used the Stitched so sweetly dies to cut this out and then added some champagne rhinestones for a little sparkle.

I’ll be demonstrating this card and two others on Sunday at 11am EST on Facebook (MyElegantCards) and I’ll also share it to YouTube

In Good Taste DSP

This week I’m focusing on one of the new designer series papers in the new annual catalog, In Good Taste DSP. It’s great collection of 24 papers, 2 each of 12 double sided patterns. They are photos of wood, textiles and other textures; they easily create masculine or feminine projects.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - In Good Taste DSP - Peaceful Moments

This one features a piece of the DSP which I matted with night of navy and then adhered to a Misty Moonlight card base. I stamped the sentiment – from Peaceful Moments – in Misty Moonlight directly onto the DSP. I added a bow and enamel dots both in Misty Moonlight showcasing some of the in color collection.
