Fresh Florals DSP stack

Today I’m sharing a glue pack box; it’s a decorated wooden stamp set case filled with my favourite adhesives — and there’s even room in there to add paper snips and a bone folder. It’s an awesome gift for a beginning – or even established – crafter. It keeps all your essentials together for going to a class and it’s obvious if you’ve forgotten to put one of the elements back in the box. My last class loved them and I’m currently waiting for more supplies to arrive so that I can make more – in fact the Fresh Florals DSP stack covered one is waiting for a new fast fuse and snail (mine are in the in photo) so that I can give it to one of my attendees.

Inside I’ve put a fast fuse, SNAIL, tombow multi purpose glue, mini glue dots and a sheet of both the regular and mini stampin’ dimensionals. I do occasionally use the others glues, but it’s very rare. I’ve packaged this up in a wooden stamp set case and decorated it with some designer series paper. Then I added a little stamping. One of my favourite sayings from Crafting forever seemed apt for the front and on the back, one from Layering Love. This is a value of over $36 but I’m offering it with shipping included for just $38 (US only). Just email me at lizbaileycards@gmail.com and I’ll send you an invoice and get your pack sent out to you asap. Papers will vary.

If you want to cover your own box, you need a piece of DSP measuring 11 1/4 by 7 inches and score at 5 inches from each end.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.

Happy Birthday Thinlits Die

How awesome is the Happy Birthday Thinlits die? I wanted to make a quick birthday card and after looking at a few stamp sets, decided to go with a DSP based card and then I remembered the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die. Perfect! It’s especially perfect because of the new product, the multipurpose adhesive sheets. They make it so simple to adhere fiddly dies – just cut out a piece of the sheet, peel off the backing paper and it sticks to your card stock. Cut out the shape that you’re after and then you just peel off the other side of the backing paper and you stick down your die cut. It’s brilliant. No excess glue anywhere.

The DSP that I chose was the Fresh Florals DSP stack in lemon lime twist. I really like how this colour pops with black and the way that the half inch wide lemon lime twist border pulls your eye into the centre. I have a feeling that night of navy would be awesome too – I’ll have to give that a try.

A glue tip for you: I used to use SNAIL all the time when I started carding and then moved onto the multipurpose liquid glue. Lately I’ve gone back to SNAIL for adhering DSP, whisper white and very vanilla layers – the liquid glue sometimes leaves visible marks where it has been spread.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.

Daisy Punch

Good news!! I think I mentioned that the Daisy Punch was incredibly popular and on backorder and then not orderable after more than 10,000 punches were ordered. Normally Stampin’ Up! sells about 7000 of a punch in a year and just demonstrators in their pre-order period in April bought that in just over 2 weeks so more were ordered right away. Of course it takes time to get more made and shipped so they had to turn them off. BUT the daisy punch is back in stock today. If you’ve been waiting to buy the bundle of the stamp set with the punch, I’d grab it quickly before this small order is depleted. The bundle is $31.50 and the code is 145361.

Here are some little 3 by 3 inch cards that I made using the punch and some of the Fresh Florals DSP stack. The clear faceted gems are also available again so throw those into your order along with the gold ones. At only $5 each colour, it’s a no brainer!

These are of course three of the new in colors – berry burst, tranquil tide and fresh fig. I love that I can’t decide on my favourite color!

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Please use the Stampin’ Rewards code to get five FREE handmade cards; the current Stampin’ Rewards code is NJ99GP9Q (if your order is over $150, don’t use the code, you get the rewards, but you still get the free cards). In addition, to celebrate the new catalog, if you spend $50 this month, I’ll send you the fresh fig 1/8” sheer ribbon. Click here to go to my online shop or here to join my team.
