Bamboo Beauty

This week I’m working with the Bamboo Beauty stamp set (155478, $21). It’s really good for clean and simple cards. In fact today I went really simple and added no sentiment. It just didn’t seem to need one and in fact, I thought that adding one would spoil the card.

First I stamped the two leafy stamps on Merry Merlot using Versamark and then heat embossed in gold. This was then matted with gold foil and placed on a Merry Merlot card base. And that’s it! Very simple and very effective. And if you need to add a sentiment I suggest a shape in Merry Merlot heat embossed in gold.

I’ll be showing how to make this card and two others using Bamboo Beauty later on at my live at 11am EDT. Share my video and be put in the raffle for a little prize.

Bamboo Beauty

This week I’m working with the Bamboo Beauty stamp set (155478, $21). It’s really good for clean and simple cards. That also means fast – check out Wednesday’s.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Bamboo Beauty - Stitched so Sweetly Dies

First I selected a die which would fit the sentiment – it’s from the Stitched so Sweetly dies. Then I drew around the inside of the die with pencil in the middle of a Whisper White layer. Next I used Granny Apple Green ink and two stamps to create the border around the die cut line. Just be careful that the stalk ends of the stamps don’t pass the pencil line or they might show. There’s obviously no need to erase the pencil line. The sentiment was attached with dimensionals.

I’ll be showing how to make this card and two others using Bamboo Beauty on Sunday on my live at 11am EDT. Share my video and be put in the raffle for a little prize.

Bamboo Beauty

This week I’m working with the Bamboo Beauty stamp set (155478, $21). It’s really good for clean and simple cards.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Bamboo Beauty - Layering Circles Framelits Dies

I put both stamps on one block and stamped the bamboo in Evening Evergreen and then matted with in the same. This was then layered on a Whisper White card base. I then went searching for a shape that would suit the sentiment and found the Layering Circle dies. Perfect!

As I said, this really lends itself to #SimpleStamping and can be made quickly if the need arises. Friday’s card using the Bamboo Beauty set is a little more time consuming but not much.
