Stop hoarding your DSP and especially the metallic specialty papers. I decided to pull out the absolutely gorgeous piece of the Petals and Paisleys Specialty DSP and make a card. And I can’t stop looking at it. It’s so beautiful. It looks even better in real life, so make your own so that you can admire the true beauty of this one.
I wanted a large border of night of navy (which matches the DSP) to give some semblance of quiet to the rather busy card. But don’t you love the copper? I cut a piece of copper foil sheets to frame the DSP and I love it! I continued the copper theme by embossing the sentiment from Watercolor Wishes onto very vanilla card stock (don’t forget the embossing buddy) and then cut it out using the layering oval framelits dies. I then cut out a scalloped oval using the same dies from the centre of the copper foil that I used on this card – you can’t tell, so why not?! Then it was a simple matter of construction – I used snail to adhere card on to the top of the copper because it’s slippery and then I popped up the sentiment piece on dimensionals.
I really adore the Petals and Paisleys Specialty DSP and am determined to use all of this single piece of embossed paper. There’s no point having it in your files, doing nothing until it retires. Just get it out and cut it up and share it!
