Artistically Inked

This week’s product is the Artistically Inked stamp set. I meant to showcase the bundle (155456, $53), but I am struggling to find my matching dies. Happily the search has resulted in significant tidying so there’s a silver lining.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Artistically Inked stamp set - Expression in ink Specialty DSP.

I layered a piece of the Expressions in Ink specialty DSP onto my whisper white card base and added the sentiment in Evening Evergreen. After that the leaf and flower were stamped, the flower in Polished Pink. This was when I discovered I’d lost my dies so I cut them out with my snips. The leaves were glued to a piece of whisper white matted in gold foil and the flower was added with dimensionals. Finally the gold foiled layer was added to the card base.

I’ll be showing this card plus 2 others at my Facebook live on Sunday at 11am EDT.

Stars are Shining

This week’s product is the Stars are Shining bundle; here I’m using both parts of the bundle.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Stars are Shining - Starlit Punch

First I created a background using versamark and the stamp with all the stars. Then I punched out the big star in gold foil and glued it to a Poppy Parade layer. This was then matted in more gold foil and adhered to the card base. One tip – don’t worry about creating the entire background since the gold foil layer will cover the middle of the card.

Next the sentiment was stamped in versamark and then gold embossed. After cutting it out with the Stitched Rectangle Dies it was popped up with dimensionals.

I demonstrated this card plus 2 others using this bundle on my regular Facebook live on Sunday at 11am EDT. You can find my live on Facebook or on YouTube using the links below.

Stars are Shining

This week’s product is the Stars are Shining bundle; again I’m just using the Stars are Shining stamp set today.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Stars are Shining

Here I started by stamping the ornaments in Poppy Parade at various heights on my Very Vanilla layer. Next I stamped the sentiment, from Stars are Shining. Then I wiped the stamped ornaments with my embossing buddy and stamped the strings in versamark. They were then sprinkled with gold embossing powder and heated. This was then mounted onto a Poppy Parade card base.

I now think that it might be best to stamp the strings with their little bows first and then the ornaments. I’ll have to test that theory on Sunday.

I’ll be demonstrating this card plus 2 others using this bundle on my regular Facebook live on Sunday at 11am EDT. Come and join me and if you share my live, I’ll add you to my raffle.

Stars are Shining

This week’s product is the Stars are Shining bundle but today I’m just using the Stars are Shining stamp set.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Stars are Shining

I like to make clean and simple cards as you know, but that’s especially true when it’s Christmas cards. And I love heat embossing and it dresses up the cards and makes them more Christmassy.

Here I started by wiping my piece of Whisper White with my embossing buddy; the powder in it stops the embossing powder going where you don’t want it. Then I stamped the ornaments in versamark, sprinkled on gold embossing powder and heated. After that I did the strings; doing the sprinkling and heating in 2 parts made it easier. Firstly, it prevented smudging and secondly I could see better where to put the string.

This was then mounted on a piece of Poppy Parade and then adhered to a Very Vanilla card base. Finally the sentiment, from Stars are Shining was stamped in Poppy Parade.

I’ll be demonstrating this card plus 2 others using this bundle on my regular Facebook live on Sunday at 11am EDT. Come and join me and if you share my live, I’ll add you to my raffle.

Peaceful Place Specialty DSP

This week’s product is the rather gorgeous Peaceful Place Specialty DSP (156394, $15). It’s a specialty paper due to all the silver foil. It’s quite spectacular and I had a hard time selecting which 3 patterns to showcase this week.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Peaceful Place Specialty DSP - Evergreen Elegance -Poinsettia Petals

This is a very simple card to make – the DSP is cut to 5 1/2 by 2 inches and glued to a white card base. Next stamp the tree from Evergreen Elegance in Evening Evergreen and then add the mat. After that add the layer to the card. After that you need to stamp the sentiment (from Poinsettias Petals), cut it out with Stitched Rectangle dies and then attach with dimensionals. Finally you need to add a few basic rhinestones.

I showed this card plus 2 others at my Facebook live earlier today. I also copied it to YouTube if you prefer that medium.
