Elegantly Said

This week I’m focusing on the Elegantly Said stamp set.

First I stamped the ornate stamp in versamark in both corners of a Merry Merlot layer. After sprinkling it with gold embossing powder I used the heat tool. I really enjoy watching the powder change from dull to shiny. With no fear of smudging the powder, I added the sentiment in the same way. The Merry Merlot layer was matted in gold foil and then added to a card base. Finally some champagne rhinestones were added.

I’m rather enjoying the Elegantly Said stamp set; there’s so much variety. I’ll be making this card along with 2 others on my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am.  Come and join me.

Elegantly Said

This week I’m focusing on the Elegantly Said stamp set.

Using Misty Moonlight the decorative edge was stamped using the masking technique on the short sides. Next the sentiment, also stamped in Misty Moonlight was cut out using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. After popping up the sentiment with dimensionals, a trio of the Elegant Faceted gems were added.

I’ll be making this card along with 2 others on my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am.  Come and join me.

Tidings of Christmas

This week I’m focusing on the 6 by 6 inch DSP, Tidings of Christmas. It was hard to pick just three to use.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Tidings of Christmas - Stars are Shining

This is a very simple card which is easily reproducible in quantity.

First I cut a 2 by 5 1/2 inch strip of the DSP which means you can get 3 cards out of one piece of DSP. On top of that, there are another 7 sheets of the same design which means a lot of cards. Just make sure you have enough cardstock to make the bases.

The DSP was matted in Cherry Cobbler and then added to a Whisper White card base. The sentiment, from Stars are Shining, was still out on my desk and was stamped in Cherry Cobbler. After die cutting using the Stitched Rectangle dies, it was carefully popped up with dimensions. I say carefully because you don’t want any dimensionals on top of the decorative strip or your label will be wonky.  Finally I added a few champagne basic rhinestones.

I’ll demonstrate this card along with 2 others at my Facebook Live later on today at 11am EDT.

Tidings of Christmas

This week I’m focusing on the 6 by 6 inch DSP, Tidings of Christmas with a little help from a couple of stamp sets.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Tidings of Christmas - Stars are Shining - Snowflake Wishes

I began by stamping the sentiment from Stars are Shining in Evening Evergreen. Next I matted a 2 inch strip in silver foil and added it to the card base. After that I stamped the biggest snowflake from Snowflake Wishes and heat embossed it in silver. I trimmed down the piece of Whisper White  until it looked right and then matted it with Evening Evergreen. This was then added to the rest of the card using dimensionals.

I’ll demonstrate this card along with 2 others at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am EDT.

Tidings of Christmas

This week I’m focusing on the 6 by 6 inch DSP, Tidings of Christmas. It has some really good patterns.

As you probably know by now, I love to feature the designer series papers that Stampin’ Up! is so talented at creating. Here I matted a 2 1/2 by 3 inch piece of the Tidings of Christmas DSP with Evening Evergreen. The sentiment, stamped in the same color, comes from the Stars are Shining stamp set. It was the right shape and happened to still be out on my desk.

I’ll demonstrate this card along with 2 others at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am EDT.
