In Good Taste DSP

I was trying to increase my birthday card stash – do you need to aswell? The In Good Taste DSP should really help me to make some masculine cards and since I work in IT where most people are male, that’s important! This is a double stack of DSP – 24 sheets of double sided papers, 2 each of 12 designs (152494, $21) so you can make a lot!

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - In Good Taste Designer Series Paper - Stitched so Sweetly Dies

The sheet of In Good Taste DSP was cut to 3 3/4 by 5 inches and matted onto a piece of Basic Black an 1/8 inch larger. Before adding this to the Night of Navy card base, a piece of knotted Black Glittered Organdy ribbon was wrapped around the layer.

Finally the sentiment from Peaceful Moments was stamped onto a piece of Nicght of Navy. This was actually heat embossed in black, but it would appear that my black embossing powder is old and it didn’t turn glossy. I’ll add another pot to my next order. The sentiment was die cut using the Stitched so Sweetly dies and added to the card using dimensionals

I’ll be making this card on my Live on Sunday at 11am EST along with a couple more also using the In Good Taste DSP.

UnChristmas Tidings DSP

If you’re anything like me, you’ve got Christmas paper that you didn’t use so here’s the third card made with the Christmas Tidings DSP that is not Christmassy.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Tidings of Christmas DSP - Painted Poppies stamp set

Here’s a very simple card.  I cut a piece of the Tidings of Christmas DSP and attached it to a white card base. Next I stamped beautiful poppies from the Painted Poppies stamp set in Cherry Cobbler on Whisper White. After that I stamped the sentiment from the Art Gallery. I wanted a horizontal birthday greeting and this is what I found in my stash. Sometimes it’s the shape of the sentiment that matters. This layer was then added to the card.

I showcased this this morning at 11am on my Facebook live along with two others using this non Tidings of Christmas DSP. Come and join me and if you share my live, I’ll add you to my raffle for next week.

UnChristmas Tidings DSP

If you’re anything like me, you’ve got Christmas paper that you didn’t use so this week I’m going to show you 3 cards made with the Christmas Tidings DSP that are not Christmassy. It’s a fun challenge.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Tidings of Christmas DSP - Peaceful Moments - Layering Circle dies

Here I’ve used the DSP to make a sympathy card, not what I’d expect to use this paper pack for! I cut a piece of the Tidings of Christmas DSP to 3 3/4 by 5 inches and matted it with Evening Evergreen. I knotted a piece of the Evening Evergreen chevron ribbon and added it before putting it on a Sahara Sand card base.

The sentiment, from the Peaceful Moments stamp set, is stamped in  Evening Evergreen on Sahara Sand. I die cut using the Layering Circles Framelits dies and matted with the slightly larger scalloped circle in Evening Evergreen. It was added to the card with dimensionals which were placed either side of the ribbon to keep it steady.

I’ll be making this on Sunday along with two others using this Tidings of Christmas DSP on my Facebook Live. As a reminder, it’s on Sunday at 11am EST. Come and join me for a break from the Christmas festivities. Share my live and I’ll add you to my raffle for the following week.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Tidings of Christmas DSP - Lovely Moments

Here I cut a piece of the Tidings of Christmas DSP and attached it to a Cherry Cobbler card base. Next I stamped the flower from the Lovely Moments set in Cherry Cobbler. After that it was matted with Cherry Cobbler and added to the card with dimensionals. And that’s it, a card using the Tidings of Christmas DSP and it’s not a Christmas card!

I’ll be making this on Sunday along with two others using this non Tidings of Christmas DSP on my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am EST. Come and join me for a break from the Christmas festivities and if you share my live, I’ll add you to my raffle for the following week.

Seascape bundle

This week I’m focusing on the Seascape bundle which consists of the Seascape stamp set and the Sea Life dies (158359, $46.75). I realised that I’ve been focused on the dies – and for good reason, they are marvellous. So I decided to base a card on the stamp set although I couldn’t resist adding a few of the fish in rainbow glimmer paper.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Seascape bundle - Seascape stamp set - Sea Life dies - Stitched Rectangle Dies

The card base is Sahara Sand with the sand stamped in Sahara sand also. Next the plants were stamped in Mossy Meadow and brought to life using Wink of Stella.

The sentiment was stamped in Mossy Meadow and die cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies. Finally I die cut a few fish out of the Rainbow glimmer paper and the dies let you cut two at a time. That were added to the card with dimensionals.

I made this card along with 2 others using the Seascape bundle on my Facebook Live at 11am EST this morning. Share my live and be added to next week’s raffle. It’s also been copied to YouTube.
