Farewell to Remarkable You

I thought I’d start a weekly “I’m sad that this stamp set is retiring, don’t miss snapping it up” post. Mondays seem like a good day for that! One of my favourite stamps that is leaving us is Remarkable You. It’s such a versatile, beautiful stamp set – if you haven’t noticed it, check it out. Here are a few of the cards that I’ve made with it:

Stampin' Up! Remarkable You and Cottage Greeting

Stampin' Up! Remarkable You and Hello Sunshine

I love that this image can work for somber or happy cards.

Stampin' Up! Remarkable You and Tin of Cards

And a cheerful thank you card too

Stampin' Up! Remarkable You and Thoughts and Prayers

I think this is one of my favourites with the set. So elegant.

So are you going to miss it too? Or do you have it on your shelf and it’s staying there? If you don’t have it, I recommend investing in it. As you can see, you can use it for anything.

I hope you enjoyed today’s projects.

Color Revamp

The colour revamp has got a lot of people excited – me included. Not really a surprise – look at these gorgeous new colours. You’ll notice that basic black, whisper white and very vanilla are missing. They are in their own basics collection which allowed Stampin’ Up! to fit in 3 more colours. How awesome is that?

color-collections

We still have 2 sets of in colors – including a new set for the next two years.

in-colorsf08a801b0be1686086dbff0000ec372d (1)

But don’t forget about the retiring colours. If you’re partial to any of these, whilst the ink pads and refills are guaranteed through May 7th, the card stock is not, so don’t delay.

  • Always Artichoke
  • Chocolate Chip
  • Elegant Eggplant
  • Island Indigo
  • Marina Mist
  • Perfect Plum
  • Pink Pirouette
  • Rose Red
  • Soft Sky
  • Tangerine Tango
  • Tempting Turquoise
  • Wild Wasabi
  • Wisteria Wonder
  • Dapper Denim
  • Emerald Envy
  • Peekaboo Peach
  • Sweet Sugar Plum

I think there’s some confusion about what is guaranteed to when so I have here a Stampin Up! chart showing what is guaranteed to be available and the dates.

Don’t panic, the collections will all be back, just revamped with the new colors and the retiring ones removed.

Retiring List

The retiring list is out! This is an exciting time of the year where you have the last chance to snap up must haves. Don’t forget my offer of a free stamp set with a product order of $50 or a free bundle with a product order of $75. I can only send to the US due to the rules of my demonstratorship.

04.18_SHAREABLE_RETIRING_LIST_US

The best way to see the retiring product is in the store (click on my Shop Now button) and then choose the Last-Chance Products option right under home. Any lists could lead to disappointment since they aren’t updated real time. Here’s the most important piece of information that you need:

PRODUCT IS WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.

Once they are gone, that’s it. Outgoing ink pads, cardstock and refills usually go fast. However, when you look at the list don’t panic; not all of the inks are leaving us. There has been a colour revamp, a redesign of the stamp pad (easier to open) and a reformulation of the ink so that it doesn’t foam. You have a little time – the single ink pads and refills are guaranteed until May 7 and then it’s as supplies last; the collections are as supplies last.

On May 31, 2018, thirteen colors are retiring.

  • Always Artichoke
  • Chocolate Chip
  • Elegant Eggplant
  • Island Indigo
  • Marina Mist
  • Perfect Plum
  • Pink Pirouette
  • Rose Red
  • Soft Sky
  • Tangerine Tango
  • Tempting Turquoise
  • Wild Wasabi
  • Wisteria Wonder

The retiring 2016-2018 In Colors are:

  • Dapper Denim
  • Emerald Envy
  • Flirty Flamingo*
  • Peekaboo Peach
  • Sweet Sugar Plum

*Please note that while Flirty Flamingo is retiring as an In Color, it will continue to be available as part of our core color collection.

Also stamp sets are guaranteed to be available until May 25.

But I recommend that you grab a cup of coffee or tea and start browsing in my store.

Have a fun time!

Onstage Local

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a good weekend. I did. I drove from NJ to Hartford CT with two of my fellow demonstrators and went out for dinner. Then we met up with around a thousand more demos on Saturday morning for the Onstage Local event.

We get to meet demos we haven’t seen in ages, get the new catalog that comes out in June – and we get to order from a small list of products! We swap cards or any project that we’ve brought with us – I took 25 of the same card with me and thus came home with 25 cards from others. Here’s a dozen of us who all planned to swap with each other. You can just feel the excitement, can’t you?

We see displays and demonstrations and we get to play with the new stuff too. There’s recorded content from the home office and prize patrols where you win a stamp set. Here’s me winning the first prize patrol (there were 6 and everyone wins something) with my new friend Carmen looking on. We didn’t know Carmen before Saturday, but we had a great time with her on our table. We’re not allowed to show the product yet, hence the covered up stamp set! But you can see how happy I am with my new stuff!

There are also business presentations to help you focus on building your business – if you’re interested – or at least helping us see that sharing the starter kit with people isn’t being pushy, it’s offering them the opportunity of a discount. Who doesn’t like discounts? And then at the end, of the day, when we’ve done our 4 make and takes, we get to split the box of goodies on our table between us all. It’s really fun – I don’t think I can really express how exciting an Onstage is.

Here’s a photo of me and my friend Barb. This is our third Onstage together.

Oh and we get a bag. With a stamp set in it (it’s adorable) and there’s always an all-attendee giveaway. I was lucky and was the youngest on my table so got to pick first from the box of goodies and I picked a stamp set. So I came home with 4 new stamp sets. Can’t wait to try them out. There are more things in it too – a sign that will light up whatever you want to put in it, notebook, pens and so on. Oh – and a new catalog to pore over and make a (large) wishlist!

This year is the 30th Anniversary of the beginning of Stampin’ up! We had to celebrate with cake, naturally!

How do you get to go to one of these? You have to be a demonstrator – more details on the benefits on being one in the last post. And don’t let the word demonstrator scare you. You don’t have to demonstrate anything if you’d rather not. You can be a demonstrator who just buys her supplies at a discount. Ready to join – click on the Join My Team button below.

Questions? Just let me know. I’m happy to answer them by text, email or a one on one call.

New Recruit Packet

Here’s one of the new recruit packets that I just recently created – and handed out! Also a 5 by 8 inch notebook which I covered as a gift for my new recruit.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - New Recruit Packet - Painted with Love - Crafting Forever

I used the Painted with Love Specialty DSP and simply covered the notebook. I then used a piece of rich razzleberry to heat emboss the sentiment from Crafting Forever in copper. It’s one of my favourite sentiments – Do something creative every day. I truly believe that this is key to be happy. I added a copper foil mat cut out with the Stitched Shapes framelits dies.

recruit folder 2

Here’s the actual folder itself. I based it on one that Brenda Quintana made. I took a piece of 12 by 12 DSP and scored it at 3 inches to make the pocket. Then on the other side I scored at 6 inches. Then I cut at 1/4 inch and 11 3/4 inches just down to the 3 inch score line. This gives you a little tab to add glue so that everything is secure. I also cut a V to make it close better. I added a sheet of useful numbers and web sites along with my business card; also a welcome letter and card and my class schedule (including my team’s monthly meeting).

If you’d like to receive one of these welcome packets, all you have to do is to choose $125 of product and then press the Join My Team button below and follow the instructions. I’ll then receive an email telling me that you’ve signed up and I’ll send a package to you.

Why would you sign up? Why wouldn’t you? Let me list the benefits:

  • 20% discount on all your orders with the potential to push that 25%
  • Earn additional income up to another 15% of your sales, so 40% in total.
  • Volume rebates, team commissions, performance bonuses
  • VIP access to new product releases at least a month before the general public
  • Earn free product with various promotions
  • Qualify for product rewards, incentive trips and more
  • Receive the exclusive Stampin’ Success magazine quarterly
  • Eligible to attend Stampin’ Up! events twice per year and be the very first to see the new catalogs almost two months before launch
  • Free Paper Pumpkin kit included in your starter kit
  • 8 copies of the current catalog
  • No shipping on your starter kit

That doesn’t include all the fun and creative people that you’ll meet. I cannot imagine my life without Stampin’ Up! It has brought so much fun into my life, I appear to be creative which I never believed previously and I’ve met loads of great people.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.
