I really like the Newborn King stamp set and have used it today in a challenge. The Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week is a fairly simple sketch challenge so I felt I could play. 🙂
I decided to finally use the Glory to the Newborn King sentiment – I love the typeface. Here’s what I ended up with:
I flipped the sketch by 90 degrees and embossed my images in versamark with gold embossing powder on cherry cobbler (don’t forget the embossing buddy!) and then cut out the sentiment with the #4 circular framelet. I cut out a basic black circle using the 2 inch punch. I then stamped and embossed my main image with the gold embossing powder and trimmed it down and then made a basic black mat 1/8 inch bigger. I like how the card comes together although the bottom part of the circle was a bit floppy so I put a small piece of card under it – there wasn’t enough room for dimensionals..
This is so beautiful and elegant. The gold embossing really makes this a standout! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!
