Here’s my third card of the week using the Joseph’s Coat technique.
As you know by now, you start by covering a piece of cardstock in whatever colours you like. This time I applied pear pizzazz, old olive and mossy meadow with sponge daubers. Leave it to get really dry.
Next grab a stamp set and using versamark, stamp on the card and then sprinkle with clear embossing powder and heat. The stamp set I used on this card is the Forever Fern which I stamped using my stamparatus so that I could do it all at once.
When the embossing was dry, I smeared my early espresso stamp pad all over the piece of card. After that I used a paper towel to wipe off the colour on the raised images so that the colours shine through.
Tip: If you do a lot of the Joseph’s Coat technique and especially if you use the same dark colors, you’ll probably need to reink your ink pads.
I mounted this onto a mossy meadow card base and added the sentiment, also from the Forever Fern set stamped in early espresso. I cut it out using the Rectangle Stitched Dies and popped it up with dimensionals.
I’ll be demonstrating three cards made with the Joseph’s Coat technique in just over an hour on Facebook Live at 11am EST and also will upload that to YouTube.
