Joseph’s Coat

If you follow my blog, and I hope you do, you know that this week I’m exploring the Joseph’s Coat technique.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Joseph's Coat - Blossoms in Bloom - Stitched Rectangle Dies

As before, you start by covering a piece of cardstock in whatever colours you like.  This time I applied Just Jade, Pacific Point, Gorgeous Grape and Magenta Madness with sponge daubers. Leave it to get really dry.

Next grab a stamp set and using versamark, stamp on the card and then sprinkle with clear embossing powder and heat. The stamp set on this card is the Blossoms in Bloom which I stamped using my stamparatus. This was mostly because I couldn’t find my I block (yes, my craft room really needs a tidy!) but it was useful to ensure that I got good coverage.

When the embossing was dry, I covered the card in Pretty Peacock. Next I used a paper towel to wipe off the colour on the raised images and that lets the colours shine through.

I added a Gorgeous Grape layer as a mat and mounted this onto a Pretty Peacock card base. The sentiment is also from Blossoms in Bloom and cut out with the Stitched Rectangle dies.

I’ll be demonstrating three cards made with the Joseph’s Coat technique on Sunday on Facebook Live at 11am EST and also will upload that to YouTube.
