Happy Wishes

I have a super simple card to share today – although, surprisingly, it uses ribbon! I love to look at the ribbon spools, I keep them in front of me on a holder my father and brother made, but I rarely use it. Some of the spools even have bows on the ends – I tied them and held them over cards to see the effect. And then changed my mind. But today’s card using the Sale-a-bration set Happy Wishes is simple enough to carry off a ribbon. And that seems to be my thing. Mostly, a ribbon makes the card too fussy so I have to go very simple.

So I inked up the beautiful main stamp in berry burst and added the birthday under it. To tie in with the silver edged berry burst ribbon, I added a piece of silver foil and lots of white (well berry burst) space. A simple card but not too simple because of the ribbon.

I’m trying to make a card using ribbon AND sequins as a challenge from my friend Claire. It’s a tough one! But I’m determined to make one. What kind of challenges do you set yourself in your card making?

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.
