Love you to pieces

I pulled out the unused Love you to pieces and the Puzzle Pieces dies, the latter of which seems to have sold out. Be careful that you don’t wait too long to shop the clearance rack and last-chance category – things are selling out. I don’t know why it took me so long to use this.

I used very vanilla for the puzzle and put it back together on call me clover cardstock. I used one of the great sentiments and stamped in call me clover ink then cut it out using my favourite – and thankfully not retiring! – stitched shapes framelits dies.

Then – and this is a first for me, I’m certain, I added 3 gilded gems PLUS an heart epoxy droplet PLUS a bow. For me, that is certainly dripping with embellishments!

Ornate Thanks Bundle

Here’s my second card made with the Ornate Garden Suite, this time using the Ornate Thanks Bundle. The suite has loads with which to create.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Ornate Thanks Bundle - Ornate Thanks - Ornate Borders Dies

So this is Lovely Lipstick cardstock and ink with very vanilla. I cut the dies out a few times  thinking to have green with flowers on it but it just wasn’t quite right – presumably the colour combinations were at fault. Then I realised that I didn’t want to trim this border and it’s longer than the card so my planned vertical border went diagonal and I think that the card is better for it! It also allowed me to split up the sentiment for a very balanced look.

Ornate Garden Suite

I’m playing with the newly pre-released Ornate Garden Suite. It’s a new suite in the upcoming catalog but we’re able to purchase it right now. There’s lots to love.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Ornate Garden Suite - Ornate Borders dies - Ornate Thanks - Ornate Garden DSP

I started with this glorious mint macaron and gold DSP and went from there. One of the dies creates this beautiful (and very uncharacteristic for me) edging. And then a mint macaron card base and a banner in gold embossing using the Ornate Thanks stamp set. This stamp set is pretty amazing – there are masses of sentiments.

Botanical Prints Product Medley

I got out the Botanical Prints Product Medley at the weekend and was awed at the product in the box. The Designer series paper is very stylish and gives you the option to colour some or all of it or you can use the side with an already colored background.

As you can see, I used a basic black mat and a terracotta tile card base. The banner comes in the medley so I just stamped the sentiment (also included) in memento tuxedo black ink and popped it up with dimensionals. Definitely #SimpleStamping, but quite striking.

Lovely Lily Pad and Lily Pad Dies

Here’s my second card this week using the Lovely Lily pad and Lily Pad dies which you can get for free during Sale-a-bration as supplies last. Between them they need an order of $150.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Lovely Lily Pad - Lily Pad Dies - Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder - So Sentimental - Stitched so sweetly dies

I’m really enjoying the challenge that I’ve set myself to use the same product all week and to use different parts of it. The Lovely Lily Pad stamps are reversible and I stamped the one side in blushing bride and then the other in rich razzleberry after which I cut them out with the dies.

I had a piece of silver foil embossed with the Hammered Metal embossing folder and I decided to use copper foil to add bling to the side of the card. Then I used copper embossing powder for the sentiment which comes from the So Sentimental stamp set and was then cut out with the matching Stitched so Sweetly Dies. Both the background for the sentiment and the card base are rich razzleberry.
