Thank you to everyone who reached out to ask about the silence on my blog over the past 3 weeks. As you know, I was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and was fighting the fatigue that came with the radiation therapy. As that was supposed to be wearing off, it became clear that my thyroid medication had been affected and I was hit with fatigue from that. So I’ve spent a lot of the past 3 weeks either asleep or almost horizontal with my nose in a book. Sitting up at my computer was tiring and I had no energy for creating. I’ve started dreaming about making cards so I think my brain is ready to get back to it. I’m hoping that my body is too! So, bear with me as I try to get back to normal service!
Stampin’ Up!’s year starts today on October 1st and they are pushing the boat out to start it with some excitement! Firstly, World Card-making Day is 7th October and to celebrate, there’s 15% off notecards and selected stamp sets but the thing I’m most excited about is fast fuse. If you buy a fast fuse, you get TWO free refills. That’s $25 worth of product for $10. And you can buy as many as you like (just not as stampin’ rewards if you want the free refills). Just click on the banner below to see the details.
As if this wasn’t enough, there’s another offer that runs the full month and it’s all about paper!
The Merry Patterns offer also runs through the end of this month – an order of $300 nets you this set on top of all other rewards. Gather some friends together and get your free set. I got mine last week and plan to play with it today. It’s gorgeous.
And finally, news which has demonstrators very excited. Stampin’ Up! is releasing alcohol markers and we are able to purchase them from now until October 15th. The expectation is that they will be available to customers before the end of the year – they want to see how the demonstrators order to be sure to have enough stock. Click on the picture below to see the colours and the kit and stamp set which will be released along with the Stampin’ Blends. If you join the Stampin’ Up! family as a demo before October 15th, you’ll be able to order these too!
So to sum up:
15% off card making essentials
Buy 3 get one free DSP
Merry Patterns free host set
Stampin’ Blends.
Exciting times, right? It definitely helped me get out of bed and to the computer!

Today the new Holiday catalog goes live. It’s a very exciting day! And it starts the countdown to Christmas. I had my first Christmas card class about ten days ago but the catalog launch really marks the beginning. If you’re local to me (northern NJ) I have Christmas card classes on the third Monday. Just email me for more details or check the class schedule tab. Click on the picture below to open the catalog pdf – if you don’t currently work with a demonstrator and would like a paper copy, just email me at LizBaileyCards@gmail.com and I’ll send you one.
Don’t forget that if you spend $50 and add the host code you have earned a free stamp set (click on the button below to see the sets) or if you spend $75 you’ve earned a free bundle.

I meant to share this video yesterday along with my card that I made with the Move Me Thinlits Dies so here it is today with Brandy from the head office demonstrating these awesome dies.
Having watched the video myself again, I’m inspired to play with the hummingbird. Look for a project with that soon.

Just a quick post to let you know that the clearance rack has been updated – actually yesterday and there’s a mass of product at a good discount, some 60% off. There are some amazing bargains to be had – several embossing folders which create such fun texture on cards and envelopes, masses of ribbon and twine – my favourite being the real red stitched satin ribbon which at only $3.60 is a steal for Christmas cards as well as gift wrapping. Actually the gold satin ribbon or the tip top taupe mini striped ribbon would also be great for the same purposes. There are a number of punches that would be a great buy – border punches and the blossom bunch punch. And as for the Party Pop-up dies – that is an easy way to make a fun card. Actually, I’d stop reading and click on the shop now button below and go straight to the clearance rack. The products there are available only as products last; once they are gone, they’re gone. Hurry! I’ll see you there!!
