Weekly Deals

The weekly deals are leaving in a week! They will be replaced by a less frequent, but better promotion named Special Offers. But for this last week, we have SEVENTEEN products at a reduced rate and there are some really good ones in this group.

Here are some of my cards showcasing my favourites of these products. If there’s anything here that you want, just press that Shop Now button, go to the Weekly Deals and go to town. Don’t forget that until the 24th, you can get a package of It’s My Party enamel dots free from me for a $50 order and it puts you well on your way to earning even more freebies – see my customer loyalty program tab.

Stampin’ Up! News

I mentioned recently that the new catalogue is going to be available soon for demonstrators to take a sneak peek – in fact it’s in just over a week. Then in May we can do a preorder and you can be sure that I’ll be sharing some of the upcoming products with you here. If you want to see them early, it’s easy – just go to the Become a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator tab on the left and sign up. Then you can see everything early too. And get a discount on quality product.

Here are some important dates that you need to be aware of.

To celebrate the third birthday of Paper Pumpkin, next month’s kit will contain an extra stamp set which, since it’s valued at $17 (and the kit with shipping is $19.95) makes it a no brainer to sign up. Tomorrow, the 10th, is the deadline to receive this extra special kit. Just sign up now (when you’ve finished reading this post) whilst you’re thinking about it! If you just want to try a single month and then put your subscription on hold, that’s fine. There’s no obligation.

On the 18th April, the list containing the retiring stamps from the Occasions and 2015-2016 catalogue will be published. At that point, some things will sell out FAST! The most likely items are the 2015-2016 in colors – the card stock and inks will vanish so why not add those into your cart at the same time as the Paper Pumpkin subscription?

The 18th of April is notable for another change too. That is when the weekly deals will stop. Weekly deals were a small number of items put on sale at 20% off to help with excess inventory. Inventory management has improved and this isn’t as necessary now so the weekly deals will be replaced by other offers every few months. BUT what this means to you now is that until the 18th, we have two weeks of deals and there are MORE items on sale than usual. Just click on the Shop Now button over on the left, or the Learn More below to check them out.

weekly deals

So. What do we all need to do today?

  1. Click on the Shop Now  button on the left and check out the offerings in the weekly deals
  2. Order any of the retiring 2015-2016 in colors items that you need (don’t forget there are some in the clearance rack)
  3. Sign up for Paper Pumpkin so that you get next month’s kit (you can also order a prepaid item in the store rather than sign up for a subscription)
  4. Use the current Stampin’ Rewards code (RJ6V9VRQ) if your order is under $150. If it’s over, don’t use my code, spend the Stampin’ Rewards yourself. If your order is over $50 (before tax and shipping – Paper Pumpkin counts although only $14.95 of the subscription cost counts since the rest is shipping), I’ll send you It’s My Party enamel dots for free. I can only do this if you don’t mark no contact or I can’t see who you are! This is a special offer from me to my customers.
  5. Don’t forget to keep a tally of your order date, order number and product total as you work towards the total of $400 and therefore $40 of free product from me.

See you tomorrow,

Liz

#Imbringingbirthdaysback

Happy St David’s Day.

I don’t know if you’ve heard but there’s a movement started by Stampin’ Up! training manager, Shannon West, to encourage the sending of real birthday cards. Shannon had been bemoaning the fact for years that Facebook reminds people about birthdays on the day which leads to a post wishing the celebrator a happy birthday but no real card. This year she noticed that this practice had extended to Christmas cards and she decided to post an offer. On Facebook! Anyone who wanted a birthday card from her was to let her know and she’d send one. She carved a stamp with #Imbringingbirthdaysback – she said that she wants people to join in and it’s not just hers but we’rebringingbirthdaysback doesn’t work as a hashtag and becomes werebringingbirthdaysback!

What an awesome idea. Which has grown larger than she ever expected and I believe she has close to 1500 people in her spreadsheet now. Stampin’ Up! asked how they could help and between SU and Shannon it was decided that they would manufacture her stamp and yesterday my sister alerted me to a post on Facebook saying that it would be available at midnight MT which is 2:00am here. I wanted one but I was not planning to stay up until 2. For one thing, I’d baked a batch of Mel’s Chocolate Chip Cookies and feared that if the cookies and I stayed up that late, only one of us would survive and the people in the office would not be happy! Yes, the cookies are that good.

Stampin' Up! #Imbringingbirthdaysback

Apparently this was very important to me – it does fit with my plan to send more cards this year, or perhaps I knew what was going to happen. But I happened to wake up at 2:00am on the dot. And figured – why not place an order. So I did and then went back to sleep. This morning I see that Facebook is full of people saying that they ordered their stamp and then that it was on backorder. Yes. In one night. I don’t know how many they manufactured but clearly it was an experiment since Stampin’ Up! had never done anything like this before. As of this morning, the inventory report shows that 120 are on backorder. I say, get your order in asap (item #143573) so that you get one from the next batch. And get your birthday cards ready to send!

See you tomorrow,

Liz

Sale-a-bration

Just a reminder that there are three Sale-a-bration products that won’t be available after Monday. There will be three new products (which I’m ordering on Monday!) but the stamp sets Hello, and Sky is the limit and the gorgeous perfectly artistic DSP won’t be available. Here are some of the cards that I’ve made with the retiring products. Click on the pictures to get to the details

My Favourite Things

I’m jumping on the bandwagon – I’ve read a number of blogs enumerating their favourite things in the new Occasions catalogue which was released yesterday. I thought I’d try to narrow it down to my top half dozen. I like a challenge – although I’m not going crazy. They aren’t ranked, they are just in the order that they appear in the catalogue.

#1 Birthday Bouquet DSP – $11 for 12 sheets of this paper. I love the watercoloured look and it’s so easy to whip up a quick card when you need one.

SU BB dsp

#2 Balloon Celebration bundle – $37.25. What can I say? Lots of fun and really versatile.

#3 Rose wonder bundle – $49.25. I think this is going to be the top seller in the catalogue, it creates beautiful cards – especially if you have the big shot die brush ($11) to help get all the pieces out. And if you get it and add the die brush, you can select a free item from the Sale-a-bration catalogue which helps with the price point on this one!

#4 Helping Me Grow – $26 I’ve already watercoloured both of the main images and expect to use this set a lot.

#5 Botanical Gardens Bundles – $51.75 Yes, this is expensive but it’s THREE products bundled together – the dies, stamp set and a pack of coordinating DSP. You could buy these individually but why would you when you can save on a bundle.

#6 Going Places DSP. $8 for 48 sheets of 6″ by 6″ paper. And the designs are beautiful – I especially love the ones that look like they would be at home as the end papers of a hardback book. Also a great buy if you need just a small something to push your total to where you get another Sale-a-bration freebie.

So there you have it – the things that I absolutely had to have from the Occasions catalogue.

Come back tomorrow for my very first card for a design team.
