Since I’m struggling to keep up with posting, I’m going to officially reduce my posting schedule. It’s easy to not post if I haven’t in a few days, so I’m going to change to Monday, Wednesday, Friday and one day on the weekend and get that consistent. The good news is that I’m now back to working full time, but I can’t imagine that I have the energy yet to post every day.
I completely forgot to share the video for the Paper Pumpkin Layered Leaves kit. It makes 8 adorable pillow boxes and accompanying cards. I hope to get my kit out to play this weekend – and I’m definitely planning on some alternate cards. The sentiments are really excellent.
The refill kit is currently available – just $8 for all of the consumables to make another 8 boxes and cards. It’s even a great refill to get if you didn’t have the original kit with the stamp set. You could still layer the leaves (love the gold metallic one) and use another sentiment to tie onto the packages.

Here’s the Paper Pumpkin August 2017 video. Amazingly I completely forgot to empty my mailbox for a few days and when I checked tracking, found that my kit had been sitting there for THREE days. After what feels like forever, I’m finally back to making a Paper Pumpkin July 2017 Alternate. Last night my team and I got together and put our paper pumpkins together and had a great time. This morning, I decided that it was time that I played with the Positively Picturesque kit a little more. Next month, I hope to make the alternate before the team get together so that they can make an alternate if they like.
This clean and simple card comes together very quickly – I did a little watercolor wash in so saffron on a piece of watercolor paper ( 2 7/8 inch square) and then used the heating tool on the first setting to dry it. Next I stamped the tulips in lemon lime twist and berry burst and added the sentiment also from the set in berry burst. I tried to use a different color for my mat than lemon lime twist, but it looked the best (or I’m addicted to it, not sure!) – I used a piece 3 inches square to just give a small border. Then I mounted this on a thick very vanilla card base – I love the thick card stock, it’s so much better for card bases.
