Farewell to Paisleys and Posies

It’s time to bid a fond farewell to another pairing – the Paisleys and Posies stamp set and the Paisley Framelits dies – neither part will be in the upcoming catalog, so if you want them, get them now. Here I made my own background with a number of the beautiful stamps and then highlighted one of them with a copper die cut.

I hope you enjoyed today’s projects – if you need this stamp set and the dies, hurry before they are out of stock. Whilst the stamp set is guaranteed until May 25th, the dies are as supplies last.

Farewell to Happiest of Days

I’m continuing my Farewell to stamp sets that I will miss with Happiest of Days. Happiest of Days is a lovely little stamp set which I’ve used a lot in my classes. Here are some of my favourite cards to show the variety. Just click on a photo to go to the original post.

I’ve used this one for masculine and feminine birthday cards – this one is using tranquil tide and lemon lime twist in both markers and card stock. I love how it’s so simple and yet so effective.

Next a totally feminine birthday card featuring Whole Lot of Lovely DSP (still available last time that I looked), gold heat embossing, powder pink shimmer ribbon (not retiring!) and some colouring with pear pizzazz and powder pink Stampin’ Write markers.

Here I used a powder pink watercolor wash for the background to my card with some berry burst marker for the cake stripes. Set off with gold heat embossing, this card could be for any celebration.

I made this one solely to feature the gorgeous little powder pink bow. Pre-tried in case you’re bow challenged. I also love the deep fresh fig border around this one.

I hope you can see how much I love this stamp set – and how much I’ll miss it! If you are in the same boat, you don’t have to miss it. It’s guaranteed to be available until May 25th.

There are a lot of bundled offerings in the current catalog which save you 10%. Here’s one bundle which needs to be bought – and a discount is always nice. The Daisy Delight stamp set and the Daisy punch. Currently it’s $31.50, in the new book if you buy them separately they will be $35, so get it now.

Here’s one of the cards that I’ve made with the bundle. Click on the photo for more details.

Heat embossed string theory

I did mention that string theory is addictive, yes? This time I decided to try heat embossing.

copper partial

Since versamark is quite sticky, I ended up with rather too much copper at the bottom of the image. Trimming worked rather well and focused on the more detailed part. I added a copper foil mat and heat embossed the sentiment from Blooms and Wishes (retiring). I rather like the copper and white card. Here’s my first post on string theory and also the link to Lydia Fiedler’s blog post – including a video.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.

Farewell to Remarkable You

I thought I’d start a weekly “I’m sad that this stamp set is retiring, don’t miss snapping it up” post. Mondays seem like a good day for that! One of my favourite stamps that is leaving us is Remarkable You. It’s such a versatile, beautiful stamp set – if you haven’t noticed it, check it out. Here are a few of the cards that I’ve made with it:

Stampin' Up! Remarkable You and Cottage Greeting

Stampin' Up! Remarkable You and Hello Sunshine

I love that this image can work for somber or happy cards.

Stampin' Up! Remarkable You and Tin of Cards

And a cheerful thank you card too

Stampin' Up! Remarkable You and Thoughts and Prayers

I think this is one of my favourites with the set. So elegant.

So are you going to miss it too? Or do you have it on your shelf and it’s staying there? If you don’t have it, I recommend investing in it. As you can see, you can use it for anything.

I hope you enjoyed today’s projects.
