Power of Hope

I decided to use just the Power of Hope stamp set for this card and again used the Birthday Bonanza DSP to dress up my lady’s kimono.

I stamped the lady on very vanilla and glued on her kimono. I then stamped the lanterns in Grapefruit Grove and Terracotta Tile and added a hand drawn string between them. The sentiment, also from the Power of Hope set, was stamped in Terracotta Tile – the same color as the card base. The mat is Grapefruit Grove so it all coordinates.

Power of Hope bundle

This week I’m focusing on the Sale-a-bration Power of Hope bundle which consists of a stamp set and a 3D embossing folder. Free with an order of $100. I love Sale-a-bration!

I embossed a piece of Bermuda Bay with the embossing folder and put that onto a Bermuda Bay card base. Then I stamped the lady on a piece of whisper white and also onto a piece of Birthday Bonanza DSP and snipped out the dress from the DSP. I used the Stitched So Sweetly dies to cut out the lady stamped on the whisper white and attached that and glued on the lady’s dress. I used the Layering Ovals dies to cut out the sentiment.

Dressed to Impress

Today I’m showcasing my favourite sentiment from the Dressed to Impress stamp set – Life is Short, Buy the shoes. How awesome is that? I paired it with some of the gorgeous Best Dressed DSP.

A very simple but effective card I feel.

Dressed to Impress is also available as a bundle with dies or you can just purchase the entire suite with a single product code (153926). Showing the bundle

Playful Penguins

This week I’m playing with the Playful Penguins cling stamp set (150532, $22) and there’s a lot to play with. Three penguins, 5 sentiments and 3 ways to dress them up – in addition to the bow-tie I used here, there’s also a hat and a scarf.

I stamped the penguin in memento and then added his real red bow-tie. I cut him out with the stitched rectangle dies and layered him on a piece of real red. I added some of the Snowfall Accents puff paint for him to stand on and then heated with the heat tool to make it look puffy.

The large whisper white layer was embossed with the Subtle textured embossing folder and layered onto a real red card base. The finishing touch was a real red cotton bow. I can see a lot more cards made with Playful Penguins!

Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – Animal Antics

stampin-creative-blog-hop-header-Nov-17

Welcome to the Stampin’ Creative blog hop. I am honoured to be hopping with the Stampin’ Creative team this month. The theme is Animal Antics. I was going to go with Animal Outing or even Back on Your feet but I played with the Dinoroar Suite whilst making my display board and I couldn’t stop!

Dinoroar Suite

One of the wonderful things about the Dino Dies is that they also cut out dinosaurs from the designer series paper in this suite. I cut out a number and then sat down to make a card using a card base of pretty peacock. All the dinosaurs looked as if they were having a party so I decided we needed a gift tag too – yes, another DSP die cut.

Dinoroar Suite

I added a sentiment from the Dino Days stamp set stamped in pretty peacock. Then I needed ribbon. I finally found the right size die to make the hole – from the Puzzle Pieces die set. Then I pulled the whisper white flax ribbon apart and used that for the string. I have a very interesting piece of the flax ribbon left over which will be fun to use somewhere.

Enjoy hopping around the rest of the blog hop; when you see the high quality, you’ll understand why being included is such an honour.

See you soon,

Liz
