A Touch of ink with watercolor pencils

Here’s my third card this week using the FREE Sale-a-bration set A Touch of ink. It’s a 17 piece photopolymer 2 step stamp set and can be earned for free with an order of $100 starting on January 5th.

The image was stamped on Very Vanilla in Early Espresso and then die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies. Next watercolor pencils were used, namely Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo followed by a careful use of a blender pen so as not to smudge the brown. The body was coloured using Early Espresso.

The sentiment, also from A Touch of Ink, was stamped in Early Espresso on a Very Vanilla card base. Finally the butterfly was popped up with dimensionals.

I’ll be making the 3 cards shown this week on today’s facebook live at 11am. Join me then! If you share my Facebook Live, I’ll enter you into a raffle.

A Touch of ink

Happy New Year! I wish you all a very happy and healthy 2021.

This week I’m giving you a sneak peek of a product that you’ll be able to earn for free starting next Monday – A Touch of ink. It’s a 17 piece photopolymer 2 step stamp set and an order of $100 is enough for you to earn it.

This is a very simple card but, I hope, elegant and fun. The butterflies were stamped only with the outline stamp in Mango Melody and then Wink of Stella was applied. This glittery pen, of course, adds glitter but it also pulls the color around the image so the end result is pale Mango Melody butterflies rather than white ones just outlined. And the glimmer is fabulous.

The sentiment, also from A Touch of Ink, was stamped in Mango Melody and the layer was given a matching mat before being glued onto a Very Vanilla card base.

I’ll be making the 3 cards shown this week on Sunday’s facebook live at 11am. Join me then!

Lovely You bundle

I made the third card using the Lovely You bundle yesterday and I managed to combine it with my least favourite of the new colors. Well it was my least favorite until I made this card. Now I’m not too sure!

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Lovely You bundle - Lovely You - Lovely Labels Pick a Punch

I love the cinnamon cider with the gold embossing. So beautiful. I simply used two of the floral images and stamped in versa mark all around the edges of the card and then sprinkled on gold embossing powder and heated. The very vanilla piece was a smidge under 3/4 inch so that it would fit smoothly into the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch and was stamped in matching Cinnamon Cider and then had both edges punched. The gold foil was a smidge under an inch and punched to form a border. I popped these up with dimensionals and put everything onto a very vanilla card base.

Field of Flowers

Here’s the third Field of Flowers card that should’ve been posted yesterday but I’m still recovering from the dental surgery on Friday. But here it is.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Field of Flowers - Ornate Flowers 3D embossing folder

The card base and layer embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder are both in the new in color, Just Jade.

I then used a piece of very vanilla matted in misty moonlight to stamp the images in the same two colours. I finished it off with a misty moonlight bow and that’s all that was needed.

Field of Flowers bundle

This week I’m focusing on the Field of Flowers bundle which consists of the Field of Flowers stamp set and the Confetti Flowers Border Punch (154108, $36).

Field of Flowers bundle

Here I used granny apple green for the stalks and leaves and then added random flowers stamped in melon mambo and punched out with the Confetti Flowers Border punch, some of which I popped up. The sentiment is also in melon mambo and the 3 dragonflies are in Bermuda Bay. I added a granny apple green mat as a frame.

Note that if you buy this bundle from me, you’ll also score this month’s tutorials.
