Botanical Prints Product Medley the third

I decided that the Botanical Prints Product Medley needed a second week of focus since I hadn’t even used the stamps (apart from the sentiments)  or the dies. This card takes care of that!

Botanical Prints Product Medley

I used crushed curry to create my own background using one of the stamps and then used the 2 identical die cuts to decorate a whisper white square. Actually I was surprised to find that the triangles themselves were cut out but I adapted and glued them back in. I added a crushed curry sentiment and layer and popped it up with dimensionals. A fairly simple card and I really like the monochrome look.

Botanical Prints Product Medley again

The Botanical Prints Product Medley seems to be rather addictive. I was making the card for this post yesterday and suddenly found I’d made two others! And they are so different and only use what’s in the box – apart from adding ink, adhesive, the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder and some silver foil and rhinestones.

Here I used one of the die cuts and backed it with a piece of whisper white and glued to a pretty peacock card base. I had a piece of silver foil that had been embossed using the Hammered Metal 3D folder and it looked like a great faux ribbon. It also matched the rhinestones that I added. The label is provided in the medley as is the sentiment which I stamped in pretty peacock and popped up with dimensionals. I think I need to go immediately and make more with these medley…

Music from the Heart again

I’m really enjoying playing with the set Music from the Heart. As a member of a musical family, it really works for me.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Music from the Heart - Stone 3D Embossing Folder

I used Merry Merlot and created a textured background using the Sale-a-bration 3D embossing folder, Stone. Then it was figuring out how to make the guitar using 2 stamps together. I really like copper with Merry Merlot as you can see!

Do the impossible again

This card using the Do the impossible stamp set is close to my heart. I’m a runner, sort of. I’m slow and I am massively talented at spraining an ankle (I can fall over acorns!) but I haven’t run all month because I was sick. But it’s almost time to gird my loins and my courage and venture out again. I have a hatred of treadmills, even if they are acorn free.

So I stamped the background trees using the Mountain Air stamp set and garden green. The runners were stamped using sahara sand stamped off once and then coloured using watercolour pencils and a blender pen. It’s so relaxing colouring away. I had to put some pink on the girl because my brother’s computer is by the window and he’s been telling me that all the fast female runners are wearing neon pink. My girl isn’t wearing neon pink but it’s the closest I have. I suspect that’s why my apple watch, that he helped my father select, has a pomegranate strap!

I used night of navy for the sentiment, cut out with my much used stitched shapes dies and popped it up with dimensionals. The card base is garden green with a layer of night of navy.

Dressed to Impress

This is a very different use of the Dressed to Impress stamp set, using it to make some home made DSP.

Best Dressed

I stamped the lipsticks in memento and then used the small splodge stamp – possibly intended for the flowers – to fill in the lipstick color. I used poppy parade, melon mambo, real red, lovely lipstick, mango melody, pumpkin pie and terracotta tile – all lovely bold colors.

Poppy Parade seemed right for such a fun sentiment and I die cut it using the stitched nested labels dies.
