Press On

This week I’m exploring the Press On stamp set which is all about coffee. Possibly an odd choice since I took a couple of extra days off work and I don’t need the coffee – although I did enjoy sitting, looking out of the window and sipping a cup. Very relaxing.

The 5 cups are a single stamp which was inked up in early espresso – had to be really, right? The poppy parade stampin’ write marker was an easy way to add a little color. I then cut out using the Rectangle Stitched dies and glued it onto the top layer. Next was a poppy parade mat and an early espresso card base. The sentiment obviously also comes from Press On and this time I used the Stitched Shapes Dies. The final touch was the poppy parade and gold ribbon which is part of the All The Trimmings ribbon combo pack.

I’ll be demonstrating this card on my Facebook Live next Sunday at 11am.

Love of Leaves bundle

The Love of Leaves bundle consists of the Love of Leaves stamp set and the Stitched Leaves dies (155195, $47.50) and this card uses both.

The leaf is stamped in mango melody and then I used sponge daubers and cherry cobbler and daffodil delight to add some more texture. This was then cut out with the Stitched Leaves dies. Next I embossed a piece of whisper white with the subtles folder and matted it in mango melody. This was then layered onto a thick whisper white card base.

As before, I added some of the snowflake splendor ribbon, this time, just a little strip. Incorporating it with the leaf meant that it was easy to glue it to the back of the leaf. Next a sprinkling of rhinestones and then a sentiment, cut out with the Stitched Rectangle dies and popped up with dimensionals.

I’ll be demonstrating 3 cards using the Love of Leaves bundle at my usual Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am EST – please join me or watch the replay.

Here I used the stamparatus to do some hinge stamping with one of the leaves and shaded spruce. I then stamped it out again and cut it using the Stitched Leaves dies. This is when I discovered that the stitching is actually on the piece of cardstock that remains after you’ve done the die cutting. What fun!

I added a piece of snowflake splendor ribbon to the die cut tree and popped it up with dimensionals and added it on top of the one that was already stamped.

The sentiment is from the Love of Leaves set which was stamped in shaded spruce and cut out with the stitched shapes framelits dies.

Joseph’s Coat

Here’s my third card of the week using the Joseph’s Coat technique.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Joseph's Coat - Forever Fern - Stitched Rectangle Dies - Joseph's Coat

As you know by now, you start by covering a piece of cardstock in whatever colours you like.  This time I applied pear pizzazz, old olive and mossy meadow with sponge daubers. Leave it to get really dry.

Next grab a stamp set and using versamark, stamp on the card and then sprinkle with clear embossing powder and heat. The stamp set I used on this card is the Forever Fern which I stamped using my stamparatus so that I could do it all at once.

When the embossing was dry, I smeared my early espresso stamp pad all over the piece of card. After that I used a paper towel to wipe off the colour on the raised images so that the colours shine through.

Tip: If you do a lot of the Joseph’s Coat technique and especially if you use the same dark colors, you’ll probably need to reink your ink pads.

I mounted this onto a mossy meadow card base and added the sentiment, also from the Forever Fern set stamped in early espresso. I cut it out using the Rectangle Stitched Dies and popped it up with dimensionals.

I’ll be demonstrating three cards made with the Joseph’s Coat technique in just over an hour on Facebook Live at 11am EST and also will upload that to YouTube.

In Good Taste DSP

Here’s my – maybe – final card using the In Good Taste DSP. There are so many great patterns that I’ve barely scratched the surface!

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - In Good Taste DSP - Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies - Forever Fern

This is a piece of In Good Taste DSP that features night of navy and whisper white. I think it looks slightly spanish or portuguese and I love it. I added a tiny mat in night of navy and then added it to a thick whisper white card base.

The greeting is from the Forever Fear stamp set and it’s been cut out with the stitched shapes framelits dies and popped up. I added a few clear rhinestones as well.

I’ll be demonstrating all 3 of these cards on my Facebook Live at 11am EST today. Come and join me and put in an order for $20 of product using the host code on the right and I’ll send you the things you need to make these card (apart from stamping since that’s against compliance.

I’m a member of the Talented Tutorial Team and each month the 15 of us create a bundle of 15 tutorials. If you spend $35 with me on product, I’ll send you all 15.
