Snow Crystal

This week I am using Snow Crystal. I’m not transitioning to all Christmas but I couldn’t resist this set which was sitting on top of my To Be Used pile.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Snow Crystal

This is a fairly quick card and could be easily made in multiples. This is if you have the space to spread out embossing powdered images which you can then heat emboss together.

I stamped the image in versamark on Night of Navy, sprinkled the silver embossing powder and then heated it. The image is large, as you can see, and requires an F block or the stamparatus.

Next I stamped the sentiment from the Brightest Glow stamp set on a piece of Night of Navy scrap. Yes, you’re right – it was still sitting out on my desk! After heat embossing, I used the Layering Circles Framelits Dies to cut it out and added it to the card with dimensionals.

Don’t forget that until September 8th, I’m running a special that refunds your postage when you place an order with me. That’s an 11% saving.

I’ll be making this card, along with 2 others using this set at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am eastern. If you place a $25 order with me, I’ll send you the cut cardstock for free. Also if you share my live, I’ll put you in the raffle.

Brightest Glow

This week I am creating with the Brightest Glow bundle and the matching Lights Aglow DSP.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Brightest Glow - Labels Aglow dies - Lights Aglow DSP

In the Labels Aglow dies, I noticed a lovely circle with a decorative edging. By the way, if you use it be advised that it cuts almost to the edge. I had a few cut outs that only just had enough card.

So I selected one of the patterns of the Lights Aglow DSP and used this die cut. I’ve only used about 4 of the patterns so far, so there will be more card designs coming up in the future.

I decided to add a couple of sentiments, both from Brightest Glow and cut out some So Succulent pieces too. They were stamped in versamark and heat embossed in gold. I was trying to decide how to jazz them up a bit when I realised that I could put them on a gold foil cut out and turn it so that the gold showed through the holes. Much easier than trying to cut the right sized circle.

I decided to add the gold foil to the DSP too and then arranged the circles on a Soft Succulent card base. After adding them to the card base, I added a few Festive Pearls to the smaller sized sentiment.

I’ll be demonstrating this card plus two others made with this bundle on Facebook on Sunday at 11am eastern. Come join me and if you share the live, I’ll add you to next week’s raffle. I also upload it to YouTube.

Brightest Glow

This week I am creating with the Brightest Glow bundle and the matching Lights Aglow DSP.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Brightest Glow - Lights Aglow DSP

This piece of the Lights Aglow DSP has four decorated frames. Just cut it at 3 inches in both directions and you get 4 three inch squared frames.

Next I stamped a sentiment from Brightest Glow in versamark and heat embossed using gold powder. This layer demanded a gold foil frame which I then added to a Cherry Cobbler card base.

Finally I added some of the Festive Pearls (159963). I was a bit confused when I was looking to order more of these because the pack that I’ve got was labelled Red & Green Adhesive-Backed pearls. They are currently out of stock and expected to be orderable the week of 12th September.

I’ll be demonstrating this card along with two others made with this bundle on Facebook on Sunday at 11am eastern. Come join me and if you share the live, I’ll add you to next week’s raffle. I also upload the video to YouTube.

Christmas cards don’t need to be elaborate – and let’s be honest, I don’t do elaborate cards. But if you have a lot to make, you need some that can be made swiftly. I don’t like to have to sit and make twenty multiples of each of a couple of cards at the last minute. That’s more like work than relaxing fun. So I start early and make a few at a time although this one does lend itself to mass production – say four!

I cut the DSP to the standard 4 by 5 1/4 inches and added it to a thick Very Vanilla card base. Then I heat embossed the sentiment (from the Brightest Glow set) in gold onto a piece of scrap Very Vanilla. Next I die cut it with the rather elegant Labels Aglow dies and attached it with dimensionals.

I’ll be demonstrating this card plus two others made with this bundle on Facebook on Sunday at 11am eastern. Come join me and if you share the live, I’ll add you to next week’s raffle. I also upload it to YouTube.

Silver & Gold Specialty Paper

This week I’m using the Saleabration $50 freebie of the Silver & Gold Specialty Paper. So I’ve made a start on my Christmas cards.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Silver & Gold Specialty Paper - Joyful Flurry

I took a 3 3/4 by 5 inch piece of Night of Navy and heat embossed the sentiment from Joyful Flurry in silver. This piece was matted with silver foil and then put onto a Night of Navy card base.

Next I used the Frosted Flurry dies to cut out some snowflakes from the Silver & Gold Specialty Paper and added them to the card. Finally I added some basic silver rhinestones.

I’ll be making this card along with 2 others on my Facebook Live on Sunday. I’ll also be uploading it to YouTube.
