Snowflake Specialty Vellum

Here’s the third card using the fun Snowflake Specialty Vellum.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Snowflake Specialty Vellum - Joyful Flurry - Frosted Flurry Dies8

First I cut a strip of theSnowflake Specialty vellum to 2 by 5 1/2 inches. Next I silver embossed the sentiment onto Rich Razzleberry and die cut it using the Frosted Flurry dies. Then I attached the sentiment strip to the front of the vellum. Turning this over, I added glue to where the sentiment strip was going to hide the glue. I also added a tiny bit behind the larger centre of the pattern.

Finally I added some Pastel Pearls.

I’ll be making this card, along with 2 others using this set at my Facebook Live later today at 11am eastern. If you place a $25 order with me, I’ll send you the cut cardstock for free. Also if you share my live, I’ll put you in the raffle.

Snowflake Specialty Vellum

Here’s the second card using the fun Snowflake Specialty Vellum. This should’ve been posted yesterday but I’m still having computer issues. The HIT (Home IT) desk is on the case now that he’s no longer testing positive for Covid. It was really bad timing!

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Snowflake Specialty Vellum - Joyful Flurry - Frosted Flurry Dies

First I heat embossed the sentiments in silver three times on Balmy Blue and cut them out using the Frosted Flurry dies.  Then I glued them onto the Snowflake Specialty vellum. Next I added glue to the back of the vellum where the sentiment dies were positioned and added it to a Balmy Blue card base.

I’ll be making this card, along with 2 others using this set at my Facebook Live tomorrow at 11am eastern. If you place a $25 order with me, I’ll send you the cut cardstock for free. Also if you share my live, I’ll put you in the raffle.

Snowflake Specialty Vellum

This is my first attempt at using vellum. I didn’t really like vellum until now! This is really fun.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Snowflake Specialty Vellum - Brightest Glow

I prepared all the pieces of the card first – the Starry Sky card base, 4 by 5 1/4 inch vellum and a piece of Starry Sky. The latter I used to heat emboss the sentiment from Brightest Glow in white. It was then cut down to 3 7/8 inches wide and about 1 1/2 inches tall – basically until the banner looked right.

Then I added the banner to where I wanted it on the vellum and turned it over adding glue to the vellum where the banner would go. Then I attached the vellum to the card base and placed the banner to hide the glue. The glue behind the banner is enough to hold it in place without the vellum flopping.

Finally I added a few solid faceted gems.

I’ll be making this card, along with 2 others using this set at my Facebook Live tomorrow at 11am eastern. If you place a $25 order with me, I’ll send you the cut cardstock for free. Also if you share my live, I’ll put you in the raffle.

Snow Crystal

Here’s my third card using Snow Crystal. Each one will of course be unique.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Snow Crystal

Pacific Point, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write markers were used to add color to the stamp. After spritzing it a few times with water, I stamped it down onto watercolor paper. Once it was dry (a minute or two) I added it to a Bermuda Bay card base.

I tried sprinkling silver embossing powder on top of the wet ink and another time tried Wink of Stella but neither really worked. So this is just stamped and a few of the solid faceted gems were added. I also decided not to hide any of the snowflake with a sentiment – that can be added inside.

Don’t forget that until September 8th, I’m running a special that refunds your postage when you place an order with me. That’s an 11% saving.

I’ll be making this card, along with 2 others using this set at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am eastern. If you place a $25 order with me, I’ll send you the cut cardstock for free. Also if you share my live, I’ll put you in the raffle.

Snow Crystal

This week I am using Snow Crystal. I’m not transitioning to all Christmas but I couldn’t resist this set which was sitting on top of my To Be Used pile.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Snow Crystal - Brightest Glow - Labels Aglow dies

As you can see, I stamped the snowflake in three colours onto Very Vanilla card stock. The colours used are all this year’s in colors so they go well together. How do you like Sweet Sorbet, Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky together?

The Very Vanilla layer was attached to a Sweet Sorbet card base. The sentiment from the Brightest Glow set was stamped in Sweet Sorbet. This was cut out using the matching Labels Aglow days and added with dimensionals.

As a final touch, a few of the Starry Sky 2022-2024 in color matte decorative dots were added.
