Heat embossed Seaside Notions

For my second card using Seaside Notions this week, I decided to use white heat embossing.

This is grapefruit grove card stock (which will be retiring at the beginning of June so stock up now if you love it) and I stamped the shells in versamark and used the white embossing powder. Oddly, the whisper white sentiment that I prepared looked too stark so I’ve actually used very vanilla. I added some of the brand new gilded gems which are part of the Ornate Garden Suite which has been released early and is available for you to purchase now.

I have another card using Seaside Notions which I will share sometime this week.

Flowering Foils Specialty DSP

This beautiful metallic  Flowering Foils Specialty DSP is available for FREE until next Tuesday. If you place a $50 product order you can select it. And it’s gorgeous.

This time I used sponge daubers to colour in the flower and make it the focal point of the card. I used some rococo rose, pear pizzazz and rich razzleberry. So there’s a rococo rose mat and I used the same colour for the sentiment – from Peaceful Moments – which I cut out using the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

It’s for my best friend whose birthday is on Friday. I think I’ll venture out an drop it on her porch. She’s crazy busy at the moment so I’m sure she won’t see this and spoil the surprise.

Flowering Foils Specialty DSP

Yesterday the second release of Sale-a-bration products was made available.  As a demo, I had the opportunity to order early and so can show you the gorgeous Flowering Foils Specialty DSP. It’s rose gold and silver metallic and easily changed up by coloring the white background too. For this first share, I stayed with the paper as it comes but you can bet that I’ll be adding colour soon.

I based the card on petal pink mostly because I had metallic edged petal pink ribbon. The sentiment is from the Timeless Tropical stamp set cut out with the Stitched so Sweetly dies. The photo doesn’t really do this paper justice, so you’ll have to order for yourself and get this for free with a product order of at least $50.

Best Dressed DSP

The product that I’m featuring this week is the Best Dressed DSP from the catalog that goes live on Friday! And it’s gorgeous.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Best Dressed DSP - Love what you do

To make a beautiful card, all you need is some Best Dressed DSP, lovely lipstick ink and card stock and a sentiment. Here I used Love What you Do and cut it out using a stitched circle die. I’ll have another sample to share using the Best Dressed DSP on Sunday.

Bird Ballad Laser-cut cards

I wanted to do something a little different with the Bird Ballad Laser-cut cards so I decided to add a frame using the Stitched Rectangles dies (148551) out of very vanilla card stock

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Bird Ballad Laser-cut cards - Stitched Rectangles dies -

This makes it a lot simpler to add the petal pink piece of cardstock to the inside of the card base since you have a larger margin. Next I cut a banner slightly under 1 inch wide and embossed it in gold with a sentiment from the Here’s a Card stamp set (149438). I used the triple banner punch to make the flag on the banner and added it to the card leaving space on the right hand side.

For the decoration, I used the Perennial Essence Vellum cardstock (149101) to cut out petals using the Perennial Flower punch (149522) and the Leaf punch (144667) and a gold Faceted Gem (144141). In general, I don’t use much vellum, but I love it here.

Let me know what you think – both on the card and your use of vellum.
