Party Puffins

Here’s another fun card using the Party Puffins and it also uses a fun technique.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Party Puffins

Memento tuxedo black was used for all the image stamping. The fish was stamped first to ensure it was in the middle and then the right hand puffin. To stamp the left hand one, I used the same stamp but stamped on plastic which was then pressed onto the card stock. Since this is effectively stamping off, the black was rather pale so it was filled in with a Stampin’ Write marker.

Watercolor pencils in Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight coloured in the rest with a blender pen smoothing out the color. The fish and bow were also painted with Wink of Stella for a glittery effect. I didn’t want the fish to look old and tired. This was then matted in Calypso Coral and added to a Whisper White card base. The sentiment, from the Party Puffins set was stamped in Calypso Coral.

I’ll be demonstrating this card and two others today at 11am on my Facebook Live and also uploading it to YouTube.

Party Puffins

Here’s a fun card using a new set in the annual catalog.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Party Puffins

The puffin was stamped in momento black and then colored in using the Poppy Parade and Pale Papaya Stampin’ Write markers. I’m not sure why I didn’t use the blends since they would work too. The whisper white layer was then matted in Poppy Parade and added to the same color card base. The sentiment, which comes from Party Puffins, was stamped directly on the card base in Poppy Parade.

I’ll be demonstrating this card on Sunday at 11am on my Facebook Live and also uploading it to YouTube.

Expressions in ink DSP

This week’s product of the week is the stunning Expressions in ink DSP. The only use of the matching stamp set Artistically Inked on this week’s cards is for the sentiments. I wanted to really focus on the DSP this week.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Expressions in ink DSP - Stitched Rectangle Dies - Artistically Inked

This is a very clean and simple card. It consists of a piece of the Expressions in ink DSP matted with gold foil and then adhered to a Shaded Spruce card base. The sentiment from the coordinating Artistically Ink set was heat embossed in gold on more Shaded Spruce. Finally this was die cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies and popped up with dimensionals.

Join me on Sunday at 11am EDT at my Facebook Live to learn how I made this and two others. Share my live and get added to a raffle for a small prize.

Handsomely Suited bundle

Here’s my third card using the Handsomely Suited bundle. It consists of the Handsomely Suited stamp set (154444, $21) and the Suit & Tie dies (154322, $32) but you’re best off buying it as a bundle and getting a discount (156240, $47.50). Or even buy the suite (155983, $66) which consists of the discounted bundle, a twine combo pack and the Well Suited DSP. You’re going to need the DSP! But be advised that the bundle price is only good until the end of June. The bundle is in the next catalog but not at the 10% bundle saving.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Handsomely Suited - Suit & Ties Dies

There isn’t much stamping going on in this card but it’s really fun to make. The Well Suited DSP has this great pattern that is crying out to be made into this card. Using a 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 piece of the DSP, the V was die cut as were the lapels which were then glued together. Next I attached the collar to the middle of the card at the top and positioned the tie. The tie was stamped in momento black on Merry Merlot and a couple more ends of the tie were stamped for the handkerchief. Next I die cut the little piece for the pocket and snipped the ends of the ties to be shorter and then made them into the handkerchief. A black button was added to the jacket and as the final touch, a rhinestone tie pin,

I demonstrated how to make this card earlier today at my live.

Handsomely Suited bundle

The Handsomely Suited bundle (156240, $47.50) is a really versatile bundle especially when paired with the Well Suited DSP (154562, $11.50).

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Handsomely Suited - Suit & Ties Dies - Stitched So Sweetly

Using the Suit & Tie dies, the Misty Moonlight cardigan and pocket were die cut. Next a piece of the DSP was added to a Misty Moonlight card base and then the cardigan pieces were added on top. The collar was die cut out of Smoky Slate and then cut down a little.

Next some pearls were added forming a necklace and some Basic Grey die cut buttons. As you can see, there is even embossing on the buttons; also the dies cut out 6 buttons at a time which is a great time saver.

The sentiment, also from Handsomely Suited, was stamped in Basic Grey on Smoky Slate. After die cutting using the Stitched So Sweetly dies, the sentiment was popped up using dimensionals.

I’ll be showing you how to make cards using the Handsomely Suited Bundle, including this one, on Sunday at 11am EDT at my Facebook live. Come and join me.
