Daffodil Daydream

The product of the week is the Daffodil Daydream bundle (157795). At $54.75 it reaches the threshold to claim a free Sale-a-bration item. I recommend you select the Daffodil Afternoon DSP which coordinates with the bundle. Today I’m just using the Daffodil Dies.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Daffodil Daydream bundle - Daffodil Dies - Sweet Ice Cream

I started by die cutting 5 daffodil trumpets out of white card stock. This was made easier by there being 2 identical dies in the Daffodil Dies set.

Next I cut off the rounded bottom off each trumpet to make them into cup cakes. Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia and Pale Papaya Stampin’ Write markers were used to create the frosting. Wink of Stella was applied to give the frosting shine and then lines were added onto the cupcake liners.

I wanted a big Happy Birthday greeting and found what I was looking for in the Sweet Ice Cream set. This was stamped onto a white layer in Polished Pink and mounted onto a same coloured card base.  I added dimensionals to the back of the cupcakes and arranged them on the card.

Finally I added some of the 2021-2023 in color jewels as sprinkles on top of the cupcakes.

The current Sale-a-bration is running now and ends on 28th February. Since the available selection can get a little sparse towards the end of the time period, early ordering is recommended.

I made this card plus 2 others at my Live this morning. Catch the replay or find it on YouTube.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Daffodil Daydream - Celebrate with Flowers

Today I’m just using the Daffodil Daydream stamp set. I stamped the larger flower image in versamark and heat embossed gold on Mango Melody. I think that I’m missing making Christmas cards when I do more embossing than usual!

Next I heat embossed in gold the vertical sentiment from Celebrate with Flowers. After the sentiment was successfully embossed, the main focus was added to the card base. As a final touch, I added a few of the Elegant Faceted Gems.

The current Sale-a-bration is running now and ends on 28th February. Since the available selection can get a little sparse towards the end of the time period, early ordering is recommended.

I’ll be making this card plus 2 others at my Live on Sunday at 11am EST. Come and join me and for an order of $25 you get the supplies to make this mini class.

In Good Taste DSP

Happy New Year! I hope that you’ve had a relaxing holiday season and that it included some crafting.

I am still working on increasing my birthday card stash and here’s another gender free one. The In Good Taste DSP really works for masculine cards which I know a lot of people struggle with. This is a double stack of DSP – 24 sheets of double sided papers, 2 each of 12 designs (152494, $21) so you can make a lot of cards.

I cut the In Good Taste DSP to 2 7/8 by 5 1/2 inches. It was then matted with a piece of Night of Navy an 1/8 inch wider.

The sentiment, from Celebrate with Flowers, was stamped onto a Whisper White card base in Night of Navy. I really love having a vertical sentiment available again.

Finally I added the matted layer to the card base, not adding any gems since I didn’t want it to look pretty.

I’ll be making this card on my Live today at 11am EST along with a couple more also using the In Good Taste DSP. Normally I also upload the video to YouTube but as of last week, I’m still struggling to get the live video downloaded.

In Good Taste DSP

I am trying to increase my birthday card stash – do you need to as well? The In Good Taste DSP really works for masculine cards which I know a lot of people struggle with. This is a double stack of DSP – 24 sheets of double sided papers, 2 each of 12 designs (152494, $21) so you can make a lot. Especially if like me, you ordered a pack and then somehow forgot that you had and got another using host rewards! And yes, it was on the same order. LOL.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - In Good Taste Designer Series Paper - Celebrate with Flowers

I cut the In Good Taste DSP to 3 1/2 by 4 1/4 inches. It was then matted with a piece of Night of Navy an 1/8 inch wider. This pattern reminds me of tiles I’ve seen in Barcelona which makes me like it even more.

The sentiment, from Celebrate with Flowers, was stamped onto a Whisper White card base in Night of Navy. I really love having a vertical sentiment available again.

Finally I added the matted layer to the card base, positioning it so that the sentiment was in the middle of its white space.

I’ll be making this card on my Live on Sunday at 11am EST along with a couple more also using the In Good Taste DSP.

In Good Taste DSP

I was trying to increase my birthday card stash – do you need to aswell? The In Good Taste DSP should really help me to make some masculine cards and since I work in IT where most people are male, that’s important! This is a double stack of DSP – 24 sheets of double sided papers, 2 each of 12 designs (152494, $21) so you can make a lot!

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - In Good Taste Designer Series Paper - Stitched so Sweetly Dies

The sheet of In Good Taste DSP was cut to 3 3/4 by 5 inches and matted onto a piece of Basic Black an 1/8 inch larger. Before adding this to the Night of Navy card base, a piece of knotted Black Glittered Organdy ribbon was wrapped around the layer.

Finally the sentiment from Peaceful Moments was stamped onto a piece of Nicght of Navy. This was actually heat embossed in black, but it would appear that my black embossing powder is old and it didn’t turn glossy. I’ll add another pot to my next order. The sentiment was die cut using the Stitched so Sweetly dies and added to the card using dimensionals

I’ll be making this card on my Live on Sunday at 11am EST along with a couple more also using the In Good Taste DSP.
