Catching Butterflies

Here’s another card using the Sale-a-bration set Catching Butterflies which is available with a $50 order – until Feb 28th. I also pulled in the Sale-a-bration sentiment set, Special Moments.

I stamped the butterflies stamp from the Catching Butterflies set all over the Merry Merlot layer using the versamark ink. Next the gold embossing powder was sprinkled on and then heated to a brilliant shine. This was then given a gold foil mat and then added to the Merry Merlot card base.

After this the sentiment from the Special Moments set was stamped onto a piece of Merry Merlot and also heat embossed in gold. Next it was die cut using the Rectangle Stitched dies and added to the card using dimensionals. Finally I added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies.

I’ll be demonstrating this card on Sunday at 11am EST on my Facebook Live which will then be uploaded to You Tube. There will also be another 2 cards made with this set. Come join me.

Catching Butterflies

Here’s a card using this week’s product of the week, Catching Butterflies. It’s another Sale-a-bration freebie that you can choose with a $50 order – until Feb 28th.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Catching Butterflies

First the grass was stamped in Pear Pizzazz onto a Whisper White layer. Next the girl was stamped in Sahara sand, with her foot just over the grass. Using watercolor pencils (Balmy Blue, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze I colored her in using a blender pen to smooth out the lines. Where’s the Cajun Craze? Just a few strokes in her hair so it wasn’t quite all the same color.

The butterfly was colored using Crushed Curry and Gorgeous Grape. Next I added some Wink of Stella to her dress. This completed layer was matted in Balmy Blue and layered onto a Sahara Sand card base. Finally one of the sentiments from the Catching Butterflies set was stamped in Balmy Blue.

I’ll be demonstrating this card on Sunday at 11am EST on my Facebook Live which will then be uploaded to You Tube. There will also be another 2 cards made with this set. Come join me.

Island Vibes

Here are the three cards that I made last week and demonstrated on Sunday at my live. I used Island Vibes and paired it with the Special Moments stamp set since it’s full of sentiments.

The image from Island Vibes and the sentiment from Special Moments were stamped in Soft Succulent. The stamped layer was matted with Soft Succulent and then added to a Whisper White card base.

Card two is using the Simply Marbleous DSP as well as Island Vibes and Special Moments. The 2 inch deep piece of the DSP was attached to a Whisper White card base and then the sentiment was stamped in Mossy Meadow.

The pineapple stamp was coloured using Bumblebee and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Up! Write markers. I breathed heavily on the stamp to moisten the ink and then stamped it onto a piece of Whisper White. This was matted in Mossy Meadow and attached to the card base.

Finally a few of the 2021-2023 in color jewels were added.

Here’s another card using Stampin’ Up! Write markers to color the stamp from Island Vibes. This time it’s Polished Pink and Soft Succulent on Whisper White. This was matted in Soft Succulent with a trio of the 2021-2023 Incolor Jewels added to the corner. Next the sentiment from Special Moments was stamped in Polished Pink. Finally the layer was added to the card.

I demonstrated these in Episode 103 on both Facebook and YouTube on Sunday.

Calming Camellia

Calming Camellia is a set that is available in Sale-a-bration for free when you place a party or personal order of $300. You still get the freebies for the order as usual. The Calming Camellia DistINKtive set is just an add on which you add in the Stampin’ Rewards tab.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Calming Camellia - Stitched Rectangle Dies

As you have probably realised, I love to make borders – especially unexpected ones. So I used the swirly stamp and Misty Moonlight ink to create a border on whisper white. This was then added to a Bermuda Bay card base.

The sentiment, from the Calming Camellia set, was stamped in Bermuda Bay and cut using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. Dimensionals were used to create the height on the sentiment.

Finally, I used the Dark Bermuda Bay blend to color some basic rhinestones and added them to the card.

I’ll be making this card along with 2 others using this set at my Live on Sunday. It’s at 11am EST and if you share it, I’ll enter you in my raffle. Place an order with me for $25 and be sent the card stock packet to make the cards.

Simply Marbleous DSP

The Simply Marbleous DSP is available to you for FREE when you spend $50 during Sale-a-bration. Here I’m using the more swirly side of the sheet. The colors are Flirty Flamingo and Blushing Bride.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Simply Marbleous DSP - Peaceful Moments

This is a clean and  simple card; the DSP was cut to 3 3/4 by 5 inches and matted in white 1/8 inch larger. Next the beautiful White Frayed ribbon was added to the layer before putting it onto a Flirty Flamingo card base. The ribbon is beautiful – I didn’t expect to like it since I don’t like frayed or torn. But it’s not fraying, it’s just not a clean edge and the ribbon sparkles too.

Next the sentiment from Peaceful Moments was stamped in Flirty Flamingo and die cut using the Layering Circles Framelits dies. The matching scalloped die was used to cut a mat in Flirty Flamingo.

Since the ribbon is quite thick, I only added dimensionals at the top and bottom of the circles to keep the sentiment level. Finally I added some opal rounds.

I made this card along with 2 others also using the Simply Marbleous DSP at my Facebook Live yesterday. It was at 11am EST as usual – enjoy the replay.
