It was Ramona’s birthday on Monday and now that I know that she has her card, I can share it here. It was surprisingly tricky to do and this is probably at least the fourth version.
The pattern comes from a retired wheel, Bella Boutique which I converted into a clear mount stamp using the clear mount cling foam. I stamped the middle strip in memento black on the whisper white card stock. Then I took the happy birthday text from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. I first used the stamp-a-ma-jig but it didn’t come out quite perfectly because it’s tricky to get that many sentiments in precisely the right place and this card needs that. I then tried to use the handle of the stamp-a-ma-jig and place it once and use it as a guide but it wasn’t long enough for the diagonal. Then I tried using a large clear block to line the stamp up forgetting that the block has indentations on the side for ease of gripping. This messed up my stamping again. Finally I used a wood mount stamp case which has straight sides and was long enough to cover the card.
Love it! We did something similar at our last Eimear’s last Fast & Fabulous class, but with Sassy Salutations. It’s a lot easier with an intentionally non-straight greeting!
