Here’s another Christmas card using a non-Christmassy stamp set – this time, Baby Bear along with the Jolly Hat builder punch to add the Christmas to the card. Technically, the hat is a little small for the bear, but it was too adorable not to do it.
The bear is stamped in soft suede first for the most detailed layer and then crumb cake for the next detailed and crumb cake stamped off for the least detailed layer. I like to do it backwards so that it’s easy to see the darker layer for lining up purposes. The final piece of stamping came from Christmas Pines, a set that I love but have only recently started to use – fortunately it’s carrying over. Do you ever do that? Buy something that you love and it just sits on your desk amidst all the other sets and it gets ignored for a while?
I punched out the hat in real red and whisper white and added the festive touch to my bear! What do you think?
I just noticed that today is the deadline to guarantee Christmas delivery.
Don’t forget the great close out sale currently going on (including the jolly hat builder punch) and also the offer from me – a new, free stamp set. Just spend $40 with me and use the workshop code CBUJ4GTP, and you get to select one of Hey, Chick, Delicate Details or Designer Tee which I’ll send you for free once I close out this workshop on January 3rd. Check here for the details and also pictures of these stamp sets. If you spend $60, I’ll send you the pearl or rhinestone basic jewels as well. Email me at lizbaileycards@gmail.com to let me know which of the sets you’d like and whether you’d like pearls or rhinestones (if you’ve earned them), or I’ll just select one at random.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Please use the hostess code to get free product; the current one is CBUJ4GTP (if your order is over $150, don’t use the code, you get the rewards, but you still get the free gift from me).
