Elephant Parade

The product of the week is the Elephant Parade set. I thought this stamp lent itself to a baby card and since I’m short of those, I took the opportunity to restock.

The elephant was stamped in Memento Tuxedo black on a piece of Whisper White. Next I grabbed some watercolor pencils, namely Flirty Flamingo, Basic Black and Pacific Point. Using Wink of Stella I smoothed out the pencil lines as well as adding a little shimmer.

This was then added to a Blushing Bride card base since Flirty Lamingo was a bit dark. Finally the sentiment, from Elephant Parade, was stamped in tuxedo black.

I’ll be making this card along with 2 others using this set at my Gacebook Live on Sunday at 11am eastern. Those who place an order with me of $25 or more receive a pack of the card pieces needed to make the cards. Also if you share my live, you’re added to next week’s raffle.

Elephant Parade

The product of the week is the Elephant Parade set. One of the elephants made me think of the Jungle Book movie and so this card was inspired. I can hear the music in my head as I type!

The elephants were stamped in a row using Memento Tuxedo black on a piece of Whisper White. Next I grabbed some watercolor pencils, namely Basic Grey, Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Pacific Point. Then I smoothed out the lines using Wink of Stella as well as adding a little shimmer.

This was then matted with Melon Mambo and added to a white card base. Finally the sentiment, from Elephant Parade, was stamped in Melon Mambo.

Wonderful World DSP

This week I’m focusing on the Saleabration Wonderful World DSP. This paper is paired with a stamp set of the same name and is free with an order of $100. Last week I focused on the stamp set, this week it’s the paper.

As with the last card, I felt that an entire layer of this pattern of Wonderful World DSP would be too much. So I cut just enough to show how pretty it is without it being overkill. It was then matted with Pear Pizzazz.

Before adding the matted layer directly to the card, I added the sentiment from Peaceful Moments in Pear Pizzazz.

I’ll be making this card along with two others using the set at my Facebook Live today at 11am Eastern. The video will also be uploaded to YouTube.

This pattern is pretty but I thought an entire layer of it would be too much, so I cut a two inch strip. It was matted with Pear Pizzazz. You could also make 12 cards like this with a single sheet as with the last card.

The sentiment, from Wonderful World, was stamped with Pear Pizzazz and die cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies. It was added to the card with dimensionals.

I’ll be making this card along with two others using the set at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am Eastern. The video will also be uploaded to YouTube.

One of the patterns is rows and rows of flowers so I decided to cut out a trio and mat it with Mossy Meadow. You could make twelve of this design using just a single sheet.

Before attaching the matted layer to the white card base, I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow. It’s from the Wonderful World set. I do it this way to give me greater leeway in case of an error. It also keeps the layer away from the ink.

I’ll be making this card along with two others using the set at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am Eastern. The video will also be uploaded to YouTube.
