This week I am creating with the Brightest Glow bundle and the matching Lights Aglow DSP.
In the Labels Aglow dies, I noticed a lovely circle with a decorative edging. By the way, if you use it be advised that it cuts almost to the edge. I had a few cut outs that only just had enough card.
So I selected one of the patterns of the Lights Aglow DSP and used this die cut. I’ve only used about 4 of the patterns so far, so there will be more card designs coming up in the future.
I decided to add a couple of sentiments, both from Brightest Glow and cut out some So Succulent pieces too. They were stamped in versamark and heat embossed in gold. I was trying to decide how to jazz them up a bit when I realised that I could put them on a gold foil cut out and turn it so that the gold showed through the holes. Much easier than trying to cut the right sized circle.
I decided to add the gold foil to the DSP too and then arranged the circles on a Soft Succulent card base. After adding them to the card base, I added a few Festive Pearls to the smaller sized sentiment.
I’ll be demonstrating this card plus two others made with this bundle on Facebook on Sunday at 11am eastern. Come join me and if you share the live, I’ll add you to next week’s raffle. I also upload it to YouTube.

This piece of the Lights Aglow DSP has four decorated frames. Just cut it at 3 inches in both directions and you get 4 three inch squared frames.
Next I stamped a sentiment from Brightest Glow in versamark and heat embossed using gold powder. This layer demanded a gold foil frame which I then added to a Cherry Cobbler card base.
Finally I added some of the Festive Pearls (159963). I was a bit confused when I was looking to order more of these because the pack that I’ve got was labelled Red & Green Adhesive-Backed pearls. They are currently out of stock and expected to be orderable the week of 12th September.

Christmas cards don’t need to be elaborate – and let’s be honest, I don’t do elaborate cards. But if you have a lot to make, you need some that can be made swiftly. I don’t like to have to sit and make twenty multiples of each of a couple of cards at the last minute. That’s more like work than relaxing fun. So I start early and make a few at a time although this one does lend itself to mass production – say four!
I cut the DSP to the standard 4 by 5 1/4 inches and added it to a thick Very Vanilla card base. Then I heat embossed the sentiment (from the Brightest Glow set) in gold onto a piece of scrap Very Vanilla. Next I die cut it with the rather elegant Labels Aglow dies and attached it with dimensionals.

The product of the week is the 15 piece photopolymer set, Plentiful Plants (155693, $21). I love the Distinktive stamps, just beautiful.
I decided to just use the pots on this card along with the Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky and Sweet Sorbet inks.
The pots were stamped up one side of the white layer. Next the sentiment, from the Plentiful Plants set, was stamped in Starry Sky. The white layer was then added to a Starry Sky card base.
Finally I added some of the 2022-2024 in color Matte Decorative dots. As you may notice, I am back to the dots matching. I feel much more comfortable now!
I’ll be making this card along with 2 others using this stamp set on Sunday at my Facebook Live. It is held at 11am east coast and the video is uploaded to YouTube too. If you share my live, I’ll add you to the following week’s raffle.
