Snowflake Specialty Vellum

This is my first attempt at using vellum. I didn’t really like vellum until now! This is really fun.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - My Elegant Cards - Snowflake Specialty Vellum - Brightest Glow

I prepared all the pieces of the card first – the Starry Sky card base, 4 by 5 1/4 inch vellum and a piece of Starry Sky. The latter I used to heat emboss the sentiment from Brightest Glow in white. It was then cut down to 3 7/8 inches wide and about 1 1/2 inches tall – basically until the banner looked right.

Then I added the banner to where I wanted it on the vellum and turned it over adding glue to the vellum where the banner would go. Then I attached the vellum to the card base and placed the banner to hide the glue. The glue behind the banner is enough to hold it in place without the vellum flopping.

Finally I added a few solid faceted gems.

I’ll be making this card, along with 2 others using this set at my Facebook Live tomorrow at 11am eastern. If you place a $25 order with me, I’ll send you the cut cardstock for free. Also if you share my live, I’ll put you in the raffle.

Splendid Day Specialty DSP

This week I’m using the Splendid Day Specialty DSP. Here’s one that isn’t quite as splendidly shiny (and therefore easier to photograph).

The piece of DSP was cut to 5 1/2 by 2 inches and put onto a fresh freesia card base.

Next, the sentiment from Charming Sentiments was stamped in Fresh Freesia and cut out with the Labels Aglo dies. It was added to the card base and then a few of the Pastel Pearls were added.

I made this card, along with 2 others using this set at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am eastern. If you place a $25 order with me, I’ll send you the cut cardstock for free. Also if you share my live, I’ll put you in the raffle.

Splendid Day Specialty DSP

This week I’m using the Splendid Day Specialty DSP. I think that this is technically Pool Party but it looked better with Soft Sea Foam. Maybe I’ll make one with Pool Party and do a comparison.

The piece of DSP was cut to 2 1/2 by 3 inches and put onto a white mat. It was then added to a Soft Sea Foam card base.

Next, the sentiment from Charming Sentiments was stamped in Soft Sea Foam and cut out with the Stitched Rectangle dies. After adding it to the card base, some of the white elegant faceted dots were scattered around.

I’ll be making this card, along with 2 others using this set at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am eastern. If you place a $25 order with me, I’ll send you the cut cardstock for free. Also if you share my live, I’ll put you in the raffle.

Splendid Day Specialty DSP

This week I’m using the Splendid Day Specialty DSP. As you can see it contains some beautiful foils which are almost impossible to photograph but I did my best. In fact I used my cellphone. Apologies for being so late with this post, I was having some trouble with wordpress on the admin side. Each request for a new anything took four minutes (I timed it!). After some upgrading of the site it appears to be back to normal – fingers crossed.

The piece of DSP was cut to 4 by 5 1/4 inches and put onto a Starry Sky base. The images on the foil are slightly raised which is rather fun.

I then added a few of the 2022-2024 in color matte decorative dots. This was much faster to make than it was to get it onto the blog!

I’ll be making this card, along with 2 others using this set at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am eastern. If you place a $25 order with me, I’ll send you the cut cardstock for free. Also if you share my live, I’ll put you in the raffle.

Design a Daydream DSP

The Design a Daydream DSP is a host pick and costs just $18 of host rewards (it’s a $30 value). It’s an incredible deal of 48 sheets of 12 by 12 inch paper, 4 sheets of each double sided pattern, for just $18.

The Design a Daydream DSP was cut to 4 1/4 by 5 inches. This way we get a half an inch both sides of the DSP. This was added to an Old Olive card base.

Next the sentiment, from Charming Sentiments, was stamped in Old Olive. It was cut out using the Labels Aglow dies and added to the card with dimensionals.

Finally some iridescent rhinestones were added.

I made this card, along with 2 others using this DSP at my Facebook Live this morning at 11am eastern. If you place a $25 order with me, I’ll send you the cut cardstock for free. If you share my live, I’ll put you in the raffle for next week.
