Catching Butterflies

Here’s a card using this week’s product of the week, Catching Butterflies. It’s another Sale-a-bration freebie that you can choose with a $50 order – until Feb 28th.

First the grass was stamped in Pear Pizzazz onto a Whisper White layer. Next the girl was stamped in Sahara sand, with her foot just over the grass. Using watercolor pencils (Balmy Blue, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze I colored her in using a blender pen to smooth out the lines. Where’s the Cajun Craze? Just a few strokes in her hair so it wasn’t quite all the same color.

The butterfly was colored using Crushed Curry and Gorgeous Grape. Next I added some Wink of Stella to her dress. This completed layer was matted in Balmy Blue and layered onto a Sahara Sand card base. Finally one of the sentiments from the Catching Butterflies set was stamped in Balmy Blue.

Island Vibes

Here are the three cards that I made last week and demonstrated on Sunday at my live. I used Island Vibes and paired it with the Special Moments stamp set since it’s full of sentiments.

The image from Island Vibes and the sentiment from Special Moments were stamped in Soft Succulent. The stamped layer was matted with Soft Succulent and then added to a Whisper White card base.

Card two is using the Simply Marbleous DSP as well as Island Vibes and Special Moments. The 2 inch deep piece of the DSP was attached to a Whisper White card base and then the sentiment was stamped in Mossy Meadow.

The pineapple stamp was coloured using Bumblebee and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Up! Write markers. I breathed heavily on the stamp to moisten the ink and then stamped it onto a piece of Whisper White. This was matted in Mossy Meadow and attached to the card base.

Finally a few of the 2021-2023 in color jewels were added.

Here’s another card using Stampin’ Up! Write markers to color the stamp from Island Vibes. This time it’s Polished Pink and Soft Succulent on Whisper White. This was matted in Soft Succulent with a trio of the 2021-2023 Incolor Jewels added to the corner. Next the sentiment from Special Moments was stamped in Polished Pink. Finally the layer was added to the card.

Driving By

This stamp set, Driving By, is another freebie from Sale-a-bration with a $50 order. This should have been published almost a week ago but I got sick and had zero energy. So here’s what I missed posting.

I stamped the van stamp all over the whisper white layer using Smoky Slate. This was then added to a Rich Razzleberry card base.

Next I used the Rich Razzleberry water color pencil (from the first pack of pencils) to color in one of the vans. The pencil lines were smoothed out using a Wink of Stella. Basic Black was used for the tyres and smoothed with a blender pen.

Finally the sentiment, also from Driving By was stamped in Rich Razzleberry and matted in a piece of the same. I cut this to size using my trimmer since I couldn’t find a die that would work.

I demonstrated this card, along with 2 others, at my Facebook Live on Sunday at 11am EST. I also copied it to YouTube.

This stamp set, Driving By, is another freebie from Sale-a-bration with a $50 order. It’s also featuring another $50 Sale-a-bration freebie, the Simply Marbleous DSP. This should have been published almost a week ago but I got sick and had zero energy. So here’s what I missed posting.

I used the Highland Heather Simply Marbleous DSP to put a background onto the Highland Heather card base. Next the car stamp was colored using Stampin’ Write markers – Basic Black, Mint Macaron and Highland Heather. I breathed heavily on the stamp and the pressed it down onto a piece of Whisper White and voila a multicolored impression.

Finally the sentiment, also from Driving By was stamped in Memento Black and the 2021-2023 in color jewels were sprinkled around.

This stamp set, Driving By, is another freebie from Sale-a-bration with a $50 order. I’m also using the Simply Marbleous DSP after a challenge in my live to use the grey pattern since they know that I don’t like grey. Too many years of grey school uniforms even though it was quite a long time ago!

The grey Simply Marbleous DSP was matted with Basic Grey and mounted on a Poppy Parade card base. The car was stamped in Smoky Slate on whisper white and colored using watercolor pencils. They are all from the first set of watercolor pencils; basic black, basic grey, real red and daffodil delight. I also added some clear Wink of Stella to the balloons and the red part of the car.

The sentiment was stamped in Poppy Parade, matted in Poppy Parade and popped up with dimensionals.
