Hydrangea Hill DSP

For my third Hydrangea Hill DSP card I decided to add in the Hydrangea Haven stamp set. This piece of DSP has beautiful mixture of Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Misty Moonlight and white.

The piece of the Hydrangea Hill DSP is about 2 inches deep and is attached to a Highland Heather card base. For the top layer, I stamped the hydrangea in Gorgeous Grape and added the shading using Highland Heather stamped off once.

The sentiment comes from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set which was stamped in Gorgeous Grape with the Pastel Pearls adding the finishing touch.

I showed how to make this card in detail yesterday – along with 2 others – at my 11am EDT Facebook Live and then uploading the video to YouTube.

Hydrangea Hill DSP

I decided to do as I advised and am spending this week making cards with Hydrangea Hill DSP. It’s a beautiful pack of paper but contains some of the retired incolors and the paper isn’t retiring until the end of June. So I dragged Seaside Spray and Rococo Rose back out since the DSP is still current.

This gorgeous Hydrangea Hill DSP highlights Rococo Rose and I’ve matted it with Whisper White to make it pop. I discovered that the new Pale Papaya open weave ribbon echoed the orange color in the DSP. It was added with a knot before attaching to the Rococo Rose card base.

The sentiment comes from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set which was stamped in Rococo Rose and then cut out with Stitched So Sweetly dies. This was popped up using Stampin’ dimensionals.

I’ll be showing how to make this card in detail on Sunday at my 11am EDT Facebook Live and then uploading the video to YouTube.

Hydrangea Hill DSP

I decided to do as I advised and am spending this week making cards with Hydrangea Hill DSP. It’s a beautiful pack of paper. The first one is so gorgeous that a sentiment would spoil it.

I used a couple of the colors in the Hydrangea Hill DSP for this card. Seaside Spray for the mat and Highland Heather for the card base.  And that is all that is necessary.

My brother’s college room mate visited at the weekend and his wife loves to send cards and buys them from me every now and then. He selected 2 of this card so I think I can say that this design was a success!

I’ll be showing how to make this card in detail on Sunday at my 11am EDT Facebook Live and then uploading the video to YouTube.

Handsomely Suited bundle

Here’s my third card using the Handsomely Suited bundle. It consists of the Handsomely Suited stamp set (154444, $21) and the Suit & Tie dies (154322, $32) but you’re best off buying it as a bundle and getting a discount (156240, $47.50). Or even buy the suite (155983, $66) which consists of the discounted bundle, a twine combo pack and the Well Suited DSP. You’re going to need the DSP! But be advised that the bundle price is only good until the end of June. The bundle is in the next catalog but not at the 10% bundle saving.

There isn’t much stamping going on in this card but it’s really fun to make. The Well Suited DSP has this great pattern that is crying out to be made into this card. Using a 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 piece of the DSP, the V was die cut as were the lapels which were then glued together. Next I attached the collar to the middle of the card at the top and positioned the tie. The tie was stamped in momento black on Merry Merlot and a couple more ends of the tie were stamped for the handkerchief. Next I die cut the little piece for the pocket and snipped the ends of the ties to be shorter and then made them into the handkerchief. A black button was added to the jacket and as the final touch, a rhinestone tie pin,

I demonstrated how to make this card earlier today at my live.

Handsomely Suited bundle

The Handsomely Suited bundle (156240, $47.50) is a really versatile bundle especially when paired with the Well Suited DSP (154562, $11.50).

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Handsomely Suited - Suit & Ties Dies - Stitched So Sweetly

Using the Suit & Tie dies, the Misty Moonlight cardigan and pocket were die cut. Next a piece of the DSP was added to a Misty Moonlight card base and then the cardigan pieces were added on top. The collar was die cut out of Smoky Slate and then cut down a little.

Next some pearls were added forming a necklace and some Basic Grey die cut buttons. As you can see, there is even embossing on the buttons; also the dies cut out 6 buttons at a time which is a great time saver.

The sentiment, also from Handsomely Suited, was stamped in Basic Grey on Smoky Slate. After die cutting using the Stitched So Sweetly dies, the sentiment was popped up using dimensionals.

I’ll be showing you how to make cards using the Handsomely Suited Bundle, including this one, on Sunday at 11am EDT at my Facebook live. Come and join me.
