Botanical Prints Product Medley

I got out the Botanical Prints Product Medley at the weekend and was awed at the product in the box. The Designer series paper is very stylish and gives you the option to colour some or all of it or you can use the side with an already colored background.

As you can see, I used a basic black mat and a terracotta tile card base. The banner comes in the medley so I just stamped the sentiment (also included) in memento tuxedo black ink and popped it up with dimensionals. Definitely #SimpleStamping, but quite striking.

Flowering Foils with Hammered Metal

Here’s my second card featuring the Flowering Foils Specialty DSP this week. I kicked it up a notch, this time adding a foil mat and using a brayer to add colour to the DSP.

I used blueberry bushel lightly for the background layer and matted it with silver foil. The hammered metal foil was sitting in my “useful stuff” pot and I thought it would be perfect for a banner.

The sentiment comes from the Peaceful Moments stamp set, part of the Poppies suite; they seem to be my go to at the moment. I heat embossed the sentiment in silver and then looked at a number of stitched dies before finally deciding on the rectangle ones. And what a surprise, I even had a matching ribbon.

Flowering Foils Specialty DSP

Yesterday the second release of Sale-a-bration products was made available.  As a demo, I had the opportunity to order early and so can show you the gorgeous Flowering Foils Specialty DSP. It’s rose gold and silver metallic and easily changed up by coloring the white background too. For this first share, I stayed with the paper as it comes but you can bet that I’ll be adding colour soon.

I based the card on petal pink mostly because I had metallic edged petal pink ribbon. The sentiment is from the Timeless Tropical stamp set cut out with the Stitched so Sweetly dies. The photo doesn’t really do this paper justice, so you’ll have to order for yourself and get this for free with a product order of at least $50.

Vibrant Vases

I’m continuing to play with the Vibrant Vases set and wanted to do a distinctive blue and white which I thought I’d seen in the catalogue but I must’ve imagined it. I do design cards when half asleep at 2:30am sometimes. Sadly the large stockpot that I thought I’d washed was also a dream!

This is a simple card using white embossing powder and versamark with the sentiment also coming from Vibrant Vases. It would have been very easy to set it up on the stamparatus but I got away with doing it by hand! I wasn’t planning on making a number but now I may go back and make a few.
