I decided to try using one of the embossing folders from the Petal Pair TIEFs to make an entire card. I used the Whisper white narrow notecards and envelopes which are in the Occasions catalog. They are adorable and perfect for a quick note.
For the sentiment, I used another of the SAB items, the Amazing You stamp set which I stamped in rich razzleberry. The reason for the colour choice was that I have a rich razzleberry blend and I used that on the whisper white organza ribbon to create a matching ribbon.

I have a lot of brusho cards to share (don’t worry, I’ll spread them out!) and today’s uses them as paint. I wanted to use Lots of Lavendar and have the right kind of purple so I mixed one using the blue and red brushos. I got a colour I liked on the second attempt – the blue is very intense!
I first heat embossed the image in gold. I adore gold embossing; I’ve been a demo for almost 4 years and it is still as exciting, watching the dull powder turn into a gorgeous shiny gold. Then I used an aquapainter to paint my purple onto the flowers and bow. My mossy green brusho wasn’t quite right, so I blended a little yellow to get the shade that I wanted. You really can make just about any colour you like with these 5 pots.
The first version of this card had only a small border showing of the elegant eggplant card but when I finished my second flowers, I realised it would look much better cropped, with a gold foil mat and a deep border of elegant eggplant. It’s too easy to just automatically use your usual layers without thinking.

Since I’m struggling to keep up with posting, I’m going to officially reduce my posting schedule. It’s easy to not post if I haven’t in a few days, so I’m going to change to Monday, Wednesday, Friday and one day on the weekend and get that consistent. The good news is that I’m now back to working full time, but I can’t imagine that I have the energy yet to post every day.
