Stampin’ Up! video tutorials

Yesterday I shared a card that I made with the new Sale-a-bration glimmer paper and the Stylish Stems framelits dies. I enjoyed watching the Stampin’ Up! video tutorials on both of these products and thought that you would too! Here’s Holly showing the uses of the Stylish Stems framelits

Now that you’ve seen all the fun that can be done with the Stylish Stems, here’s Shannon showcasing the glimmer paper. One of the samples that she shows is also on the extra Sale-a-bration flyer and is clearly where I got the idea to use the glimmer paper with the Stylish Stems.

So you’re asking how do you earn the glimmer paper? Here are three suggestions, let’s call them the gold, silver and bronze kits:

GOLD KIT

Have it all! For $99 plus tax choose $125 product and from now until the end of March, you ADD 2 free stamps. Depending on stamp choice, that’s a value of $161-$251 plus tax  for $99 plus tax. This doesn’t actually earn you the glimmer paper on this order, but now you get a 20% discount whilst you’re active (at a minimum until the end of July) so earning it just got a lot cheaper!

SILVER KIT

Special Reason clear mount bundle (144729) – $45.75

Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (145372) – $30

Designer Tin of Cards (141739) – $26

PLUS TWO FREE SALE-A-BRATION choices

Total $101.75 plus shipping and tax

Value around $130 (depending on Sale-a-bration choices)

If you prefer wood mount, the item code for the Special Reason wood mount bundle is 144719 ($53.00)

BRONZE KIT

Special Reason clear mount bundle (144729) – $45.75

Silicone craft sheet (127853) – $6

PLUS ONE FREE SALE-A-BRATION choice

Total $51.75 plus tax and shipping

OR

Special Reason wood mount bundle is 144719 ($53.00)

I hope you enjoyed today’s videos and the suggestions as to how you can easily start making with these products. Please use the Stampin’ Rewards code to get a selection of ribbon and sequins (6 yards in all) when your order is $30 or more; the current Stampin’ Rewards code is 34ANVEHC (if your order is over $150, don’t use the code, you get the rewards, but you still get the free gift). Click here to go to my online shop or here to join my team. To sign up for Paper Pumpkin, click here. For more details on my Customer Loyalty Programme, click here.

And don’t forget that during Sale-a-bration, for every $50 you spend (before taxes and shipping) you get to select a FREE product from the Sale-a-bration catalogue. Don’t have paper copies of the catalogs? Drop me an email and I’ll put one in the mail.

Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack

Yesterday I played with the very glittery glimmer paper assortment pack; it’s one of the items that you can choose for free for each $50 spent (before taxes and shipping) during Sale-a-bration. This ends on March 31st, so you need to act fairly swiftly to get your hands on this. And you will want to. It’s so much fun.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack - Designer Tin of Cards - Stylish Stems Framelits Dies - Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies

This card was made using the Stylish Stems framelits dies which are awesome. You can cut out the flower or, as I’ve done here, cut a flower in your card and have something peek through, like the sweet sugarplum glimmer paper. It really is the perfect way to show off the glimmer paper. I also used the same dies set to cut out the leaves using the mint macaron glimmer paper.

To hide the fact that the ends of my leaves were all over the place and to finish off the card, I used a sentiment from Designer Tin of Cards which was still out after my playing for the last few days and sweet sugarplum ink. After trying a few mats, I decided to keep it simpler and cut out my sentiment using the Stitched Shapes framelits dies. I love these – they add just enough interest to the card to negate the need for a mat so they are perfect in a case like here where a mat was just too fussy.

Don’t forget that Sale-a-bration free products are now whilst supplies last. So if you want the glimmer paper assortment pack, (or any of the others), I’d advise ordering sooner rather than later.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Please use the Stampin’ Rewards code to get a free selection of ribbon and sequins (6 yards in all) when your order is $30 or more; the current Stampin’ Rewards code is 34ANVEHC (if your order is over $150, don’t use the code, you get the rewards, but you still get the free gift). Another Designer Tin of Cards alternative

When I completed yesterday’s card, I started looking at the Designer Tin of Cards kit to see whether I could create two cards from another of the designed cards – or maybe just an alternative. Let’s see what I do with the leftovers from today’s card.

Liz Bailey Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - Designer Tin of Cards - Blossom bunch punch

I used the card base from the kit but decided on letting more of it show. A strip of night of navy gave me the foundation for my sentiment from the Designer Tin of Cards set which I heat embossed in silver and cut out with the layering squares framelits dies. I wanted a little something extra and since the blossom bunch punch was still out from the previous card, I grabbed some silver foil scraps and punched out three of the smallest flowers. I finished these off with three of the enamel shapes in night of navy and glued them on with mini glue dots.

Designer Tin of Cards

I made a card from the Designer Tin of Cards project kit a couple of weeks ago using part of the intended supplies for one of the cards and today I’m using some of the rest. Actually, I’m only using the card base itself which still leaves some decorative items… I really didn’t want to cover up much of the pretty pattern, rather I wanted to feature it.

Here’s the card from a few weeks ago

and here’s a shot of what’s planned for the kit:

Designer tin of cards

So at my upcoming class, instead of creating 16 cards as per the kit, there will be the option to make 24 with a few extra supplies that I’ll provide.

For today’s card, I used the Designer Tin of Cards for the sentiment which I stamped in chocolate chip onto a piece of sahara sand and cut out with the layer circles framelits dies. I decided to do it backwards and used the scalloped circle for my top layer and cut a circle of watermelon wonder for it to sit on. It’s popped up with dimensionals. This wasn’t quite enough so I reached for my blossom bunch punch and punched out 3 of the smallest flowers. Pearls finished off the centres perfectly. So there you have it – a way to really stretch your kit.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Stampin’ Up! News

There’s some Stampin’ Up! News to share this morning and a couple of things that I wanted to point out. So let’s get to it!

Next month there’s a Stampin’ Up! party called Onstage! It’s where the next catalog is revealed to demonstrators and we get to play with new product (and even order some of it), watch presentations and hang out with the Stampin’ Up! family . We also like to make lots of a single card and swap with others so that you get a whole host of samples. This year, head office has given us a list of a few of the current stamp sets which will be in the new catalog in case we wanted to make our swaps with sets that will definitely be around for another year.  This makes these sets a really good buy – here they are:

Dragonfly Dreams (item 142924)
Jar of Love (item 141587)
Banners for You (item 141710)
Touches of Texture (item 141934 W/143251 C)
Swirly Bird (item 141749)
Beautiful You (item 143004 W/143637 C)

I seem to have used a few of these sets quite a lot!

If you’d like to attend an Onstage event, joining now would allow you to sign up for the event in November. Of course you could join a little later, but joining in March gets extra benefits. The normal benefits are:

  • 20% discount on all your orders with the potential to push that 25%
  • Volume rebates, team commissions, performance bonuses
  • VIP access to new product releases at least a month early
  • Free products to earn during various promotions
  • Qualify for product rewards, incentive trips and more
  • Receive the exclusive Stampin’ Success magazine quarterly
  • Eligible to attend Stampin’ Up! events twice per year

The starter kit is an amazing deal – it’s fully customizable, so for just $99 you get $125 of quality product of your choice, shipped free, saving you $38.50 on product and shipping. If you join by March 31st, you add two stamp sets completely free, a value of up to $104. If you’re ready to jump in, grab your wish list and click here. Or if you have questions, go to the Join My Team tab for more details. If you still have questions, contact me.

Finally, Sale-a-bration is in the final month and will end on March 31st. Products are on an “as supplies last” basis so if there’s something you really want, dive in early. A good way to get free products is to buy a Paper Pumpkin prepaid. A 3 month prepaid Paper Pumpkin is currently on sale ($55 instead of $59), so not only do you get almost a 7% discount, you get to select a Sale-a-bration freebie. What more could you ask for?! Just order as normal at my online store – you can put the code 137859 in the search bar and it will take you right there. Even better is the 12 month prepaid where you save $2 per month (137861), but the best part is that you get FOUR Sale-a-bration items for that and $21.50 in Stampin’ Rewards! It’s $215 for a whole year of the red box (I ordered it myself) and if you add a few things and get to $250, not only do you get a fifth freebie, but there’s an extra $25 on top of the usual $25 of Stampin’ Rewards, so in total, that’s FIVE free Sale-a-bration products and $50 in Stampin’ Rewards.

In case you don’t know what Paper Pumpkin is about, here are the details:

  • Each month you receive a unique, surprise kit with a project. It’s colour-coordinated and everything is pre-cut
  • Each kit includes stamps, ink, paper, accessories and instructions.
  • Each kit gives you about 30 minutes of fun
  • Your Paper Pumpkin ships around the 15th of the month.
  • You need to sign up for a kit by the 10th of the month to get that month’s kit. If you sign up on the 11th of the month, your first kit will come the next month.
  • A Paper Pumpkin subscription is just $19.95 per month (and shipping is included!) There’s no commitment, you can cancel or put your subscription on hold at any time. You can also prepay 1, 3, 6 or 12 months at a time (great gift idea) and save money with the latter 2 options.
  • Once you’re a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can buy previous kits as supplies last. Sometimes complete kits are available, at other times, it’s just the consumables so that you can make more.

See you tomorrow,

Liz
